Mike Sexton - RIP

As most of you know, it became known a week or so ago that Mike Sexton was gravely ill, & was undergoing "in-home hospice care", a term that sends shivers down the spines of any decent human beings.

After a mercifully short period his suffering ended when he passed away overnight.

Few people have been a better role model for poker than Mike. In fact, I'm struggling to think of anyone who represented poker better or for so long.

RIP Mike.

You could feel his enthusiasm through the screen on the WPT shows. Few commentators in the game could grab your attention like he did.

A fair man and a good human-being, helped Stu Unger back in the day as well. Big loss to the poker world.

We owe more to Mike than most people realise. A great man, a great commentator, a great poker player, and a great ambassador for poker. Only 4 years ago he won WPT Montreal at 68 years of age. What a boss.

A loss to the poker world of epic proportions. RIP Mike.

I only came on here for some light relief (I know yeah, reading about bad beats etc), but this is terribly sad. What a guy. I hope I never stop hearing those words in my mind brain "May all your cards be live and your pots be monsters".
