The dead heats were settled incorrectly on the sheet, I have amended accordingly.
16/5 DH = (16/5+1)/2 = £2.10 return to a £1 stake = £1.10 profit not £1.60 11/2 DH = (11/2+1)/2 = £3.25 return to a £1 stake = £2.25 profit not £2.75
This will affect a few of the totals above.
Sorry only just spotted it as I have been out.
Effectively DH's will always be 50p less than the way calculated as it is half the total return which includes the £1 stake not half the odds. Hope that makes sense.
Cheers,
G
I was just about to argue with you again on this until I worked out my way and arrived at the same answer as you. Will amend tables. LOL
Yeh or another way to look at it is as if they only hap 50p on it not £1.00, but then you still have to take the full £1 stake off their return to get the profit.
I am guessing that is how you came to the same figures?

Apologies. I updated the sheets wrong. I just took it as winning odds to a 50p stake.
Alan no blame on you you did what I suggested which was wrong. Not you at all
The final day saw the unkindest cut of all as ERIC who led going into the last day again was pipped by a PENNY by ANDY who got THE SHUNTER at 13/2. ANDY does this well, has a bad opening day and then puts on the afterburners, congrats ANDY. ALAN also got a 13/2 winner with GOOD RISK AT ALL to finish third and tie the days comp with ANDY.
ALAN extends his lead again as we start to come to end for this year and the rest of us really need to up our game and get some HAIL MARY'S in to beat him. Having said that , as he was very unlucky to lose out last year he probably deserves it.
