In Response to Re: Anyone fancy a Live Poker Day Out? : I spoke to James yesterday - he is in San Remo. With no flights available right now, that's some taxi-fare to Nottingham.

    Errrrm...confused!!

    I thought trainers were allowed???

Dusk Till Dawn operates with a smart casual dress code. Members wearing sports trainers or T-Shirts, for example, will not be permitted entry to the Club and its facilities.

    anyone?

LOL When you meet me on Sunday you'll understand I'm not a running sort of girl, I prefer to perambulate at a much slower pace....however I do own pumps :o)

If I put proper shoes on I'll be able to see Tikay's bald patch!!!

Hursty, don't worry about it mate! I'm only playing in the 8pm £10.00 buy in, before that maybe a cash game or two to steady my feet!!

I have never played in a proper live casino so for mey first game to be the £100 buy in would be stupid imo!!! The rest of the time I'm going to be railing the guys and enjoying the casino :o)

There is however a £50.00 buy in on Sunday at 3pm which if I do well the night before I may enter...we'll see!!

    I AM SUCH AN IDIOT!!!!

The hotel is booked, the money is in my passport, I reallocated my season ticket for my beloved City and my poker skills have been dusted off...all in preparation for my poker-tastic adventure to DTD with the boys and what did I do?

Well, I had a brilliant HU match with Eagle26 in the porkerman challenge where I enjoyed my first beer of the day!!! This resulted in me going to the pub and then coming home to a play poker all night on a mammoth 13hr drunken session! Pretty standard you may think however at 6am I was obviously delusionally confident of getting my train at 1pm......EPIC FAIL!!!!!

Now I have not a hope in **** of getting to Dusk Til Dawn in time to play this evening's event....GUTTED!!!!!

    So, my options are:-

    1. Drive down anyway as the stupid hotel is booked and paid for...
    2. Sit at home nursing my sore head and thinking about what a fool I have been...
    3. Go back to the pub and enjoy the afternoon sunshine putting it down to one of those things...

Repeat: I AM SUCH AN IDIOT!!!!!
