    On a more humorous note, several hundred people every year bet that the world will end by a certain date.

    They might be right. They might be wrong. But if they do win, how do they propose to collect their winnings? :)

    I think it should be very easy to communicate with an alien.
    Most, if not all , have two eyes and a mouth, although some are lacking in the ear department.
    Maybe they just like talking and not listening.
    They should fit in well.
