I know you both think you were on a non runner Im afraid you weren't as I said to roger earlier, he was not a non runner. However the Bookies nowadays like to keep their punters happy and most will treat instances like this as a non runner even if it isnt in the rules of Horse Racing.
Sorry peeps but that has always been the situation a NON runner is only a non runner if it is under the rules of racing.
Having read the news of the after race deliberations I can understand your frustration but like the Stewards I have a problem because the horse came out of the stalls with his jockey on board and if De Sousa had carried on and somehow the horse had won (very unlikely ) I know the result would have had to stand.

Not a problem Terry, @vaigret i don't have a disagreement with your decision but with what happened before the starter dropped his flag, think it's a poor show from stewards/starter.Not good for racing.

Agree Roger @zadoc , nobody comes out of it well. Just watched on Morning Line and Handlers and De Sousa both knew there was a problem with the comfort blanket with two horses to load The handlers didnt put there hand up to say problem and De sousa didnt ask them to. He was still trying to unhook blanket from his feet and he did shout wait once but that was too late. So fault all round
I fully accept the decision Terry @vaigret from yesterday. I was just curious how these things are dealt with. Hopefully, we all get 7 runners each race today.
With only one person in profit on the day we didnt set the world alight again. Well done ERIC with SUBJECTIVIST 13/2. It was SUREFIRE that ALAN would get a winner at 5-1 and WYNNE and ANDY weighed in with MOHAAFETH 11/8.
