Morning.
Sparkling numbers last night (for the time of year), although we can't compare them w-o-w as last Friday we had the football. Very heartening to see the £6,000 BWBH, £8,000 Main & £4,000 Mini all glide gracefully & comfortably beyond their guarantees, even if those guarantees are modest at this time of year. The online poker market is in decline - industry-wide, with very few exceptions - so even standing still is a win these days.
Today's thread will be, I hope, "snappy", & I'm sure many of you share that wish, but once again there is such an abundance of wonderful sport today & I want to go watch it. Qualifying for both Moto GP & F1, Wales in the Euros, the Ladies Golf Major, & the start of the Tour de France. We are truly blessed to have all this to enjoy. Incidentally, in the Women's Golf yesterday, Nelly Korda birdied the last 6 holes.
Birdied 6 straight holes in a Major. She's just 22 years old.

PRhack93 got the night off to a flyer, winning 7 & 7, & later ran 5th in Quickdraw.
On Thursday wiggywoo11 was 6th in 7 @ 7, last night they improved a spot to 5th. What price 4th tonight?

Adolfas makes their results thread debut, I'm quite sure of that as it's not an alias that one is likely to forget.
Definitely not a final for the faint-hearted & God help any of them trying to see a cheap flop when the likes of Dog Bloke, Fitz833, johnny_e & pacman are all present. Fitz833, of course, is the young lady who enjoyed back-to-back Main Event wins at the start of this month. When you get results like that you soon make enemies in poker these days & I'm sure we'll read somewhere that she got lucky. Like anyone ever won any MTT without getting lucky.

goldnballz won Thursday's Mini & last night's Main. If only he improved his timing he'd be £5,000 richer via the Final Table Jackpot. Not much I can tell you about Keith that you don't already know, except that even the haters surely won't begrudge him this win, he's a genuinely top bloke with no edge to him.
Runner-up DrRunGood has maybe played less than 20 MTT's here this year, but his CV shows he's a bit of a monster, or was back in the day. Results include winning a 2013 Primo (remember that?) for £4,000, 3rd in a Super Roller in 2014 for £2,000, 4th in a UKOPS ME in 2013 for £3,000, & 1st in a Summit last year. Proper CV, that.
Fitz833, 4th in BWBH, was 6th here. Don't mess with Fitz.

I often have a little fun at the expense of MattBates - we can do that with genuine friends - but he's well & truly in the groove now & had a scintillating session. Won the Mini, 7th in Mega, 3rd in Sheriff & 2nd in Reload. A few other non-featured Finals too. Bravo Bates.
Solly was 3rd, and Splashies, who won Mega earlier this week, finished 6th.

GREGSTER, king of the Reload bingo card, seems to have moved up grades & is working on Mega now, he was 6th on Thursday & 1st last night & has twice run 2nd. Just needs 3rd, 4th & 5th now.
In 5th was TURN_IT_IN, who won Monday's renewal.

wineli, who won Summit earlier this month, took Turbo. Nothing I can tell you about him you don't already know.
Big surprise to see IVIystical 2nd here, not because he's not good enough, but it's not the sort of MTT I'd expect to see him play, & I don't recall him playing it previously. Maybe he should play it more often. He's certainly a better player than he realises. Well done Sam.
3rd was johnny_e, who also finalled BWBH.
Turbo specialist tracyswise, bidding to win it for the 5th time this year, was 4th, with newdaddy 5th.
Recent Reload winner wothef was 6th, doubtless playing GTO as always.

Goes to our very popular Main Event winner...
@goldnballz
There was a 2 hour special featuring The Manics on Sky Arts a few nights ago which I watched from end to end. Probably the longest two hours of my life. I honestly think they were highly over-rated. This, however, is their standout track for me & it's excellent.
Everything Must Go.

The Phonics knocks spots off them
Well played Matt
Great feeling to take down the McWaller02 invitational
As you say, if only my timing was a little better........
They also have the honour of the first new No1 single of this millennium.
The disappearance/death of Richey Edwards could have ended them before they even got going properly, all credit to them for not turning their backs on the music scene after that.
Great live too.
@hhyftrftdr
The Manics film was called Escape From History & there's a link to it below. I fancy you'd enjoy it.
Documentary by BAFTA-winning director Kieran Evans telling the moving and inspiring story of how The Manic Street Preachers' acclaimed 1996 album Everything Must Go was created.
https://www.sky.com/watch/title/programme/0ce67da9-e07b-4715-87e5-bfcd580d0117/manic-street-preachers-escape-from-history
A seminal album released under difficult circumstances, should make for interesting viewing even for those not fussed about the band.
The mystery surrounding Richey Edwards remains to this day, though perhaps that is for the crackpot thread in the rail
The early part of the film is mainly about the Richey situation.
Sometimes I think you just do it to wind me up.
Love The Manics.
My personal favourite. I always turn the volume up to 11 for this.
