Who won what, Saturday August 21st - misterpj completes a 24 hour hat-trick.

Afternoon. Another Sunday, another week flown past.

MTT traffic was better than last Saturday, which was impacted by the start of the football season proper. Last Saturday's Main made exactly £6,000, last night it made £7,470.

In the Ladies golf, Georgia Hall played well but could not buy a putt, & dropped to three shots off the lead. In football, Brentford drew away at Palace, so are now unbeaten after a whole two games. Both Liverpool & Man City looked great, especially with the fans back. In Cricket, The Hundred finished, thank God.

£700 7 @ 7 £798

£1,000 BH £1,000

£6,000 Sharpshooter £7,470

£2,000 Mini £2,520

£1,000 Mega £1,300

£1,500 Sheriff £2,100

£1,500 Reload £1,818

£1,500 Turbo £1,500

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,420

£1,000 MidEx £1,280

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£798)

jcp50 returned last week after a three week absence & single tabled the 7 @ 7 to take a lovely win.

    Taximan1 has made quite a few 7 @ 7 FT's & was runner-up last night.

6th was BMW335 - wonder what sort of car they drive? Watch out Will Kassouf.

IMAF1SH took this. Also won it in June but it was only a £500 version that night due to a big England game in the Euros.

aub, who has won this several times, was runner-up, with tonyp142 third & scotty77 fourth.

    £6,000 Sharpshooter (£7,470)

Proilific winner Jessieak took the Main. Blocked on Sharky so I don't have much data, but has won all the featured MTT's iirc, & recently achieved the exceptionally rare double of winning Avenger Main & Sheriff on the same night.

Got to feel for TEXANT - was runner-up in Thursday's Main & did exactly the same last night. 2nd in a Main twice in three days is superb, but I bet they feel a little disappointed. Having said that, gained entry via a £7.20 satellite, so not a bad return last night, ~£860 for £7.20 sounds pretty neat to me.

    £2,000 Mini Sharpshooter (£2,520)

This went to specialb20, another who does not seem to be on Sharky, but I do clearly recall meeting them at an SPT in Manchester a few years ago.

I did a late evening patrol of the tables last night & it looked to me that @bbMike had this sewn up, he had a decent chip lead, so was quite surprised & a little sad to see he did not close the deal & could only manage 4th. Smashing fella, though a little too bright for me to get into too much convo with. I'm in awe of intelligent & articulate people, but I always feel a little intimidated when I try to engage with them. I had the same problem with Jen Mason, always felt out of my depth when chatting with her. It so sucks to be a legit thicko.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,300)

This went to lufc19, who I'm guessing is a Leeds United fan. They got thumped last weekend & could only draw at home to little Everton yesterday, so he needed cheering up.

Amazing stuff from tomgoodun, runner-up in this for the second consecutive night. Even better, he had a Mega double of sorts last night - 3rd in the £500 version at 20.25, then 2nd in this 20 minutes later. Bit of a dark horse is our Tom. Mrs Tomgoodun & Dearest Daughter will both be getting a treat out of the winnings I fancy.

    £1,500 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£2,100)

Bit out of order this, Dog Bloke was playing Live up in Liverpool last night - he made it through to Day 2 - at the same time as he was winning Sheriff on his smartphone. I may have led a sheltered life, but playing a poker tournament on a mobile phone seems way beyond my abilities, I struggle to make a 'phone call on the **** things. Phones should be for 'phoning people, not playing the pokerz. Just as well Smartphones will never catch on.

The bearlyther heater shows no sign of abating, 2nd here & he was to make another FT later.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,818)

iano1874 last played exactly a week ago, finishing 4th in Reload, & returned last night to book the win.

hazelwoo05 won a couple of small MTT's earlier this week, then got 5th here.

I was hoping to see hhammerhea do well in the Mini, as he was using a Free Entry won from a Forum Comp, but finished down the field. 6th here was handy though & probably ensured a small profit on his session. Best result so far this month was 2nd in a Mini Major on 1st August.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,500)

nishg took Turbo to keep his graph tracking pleasantly northwards. Has won Avenger Main twice this year, as well as a Summit & plenty else besides. Evidently very handy.

MikeyW94 was third with beefmyster - a strange alias if ever I saw one - fourth.

A poor night by his extraordinary standards for Arrogant, 5th here his only result. Will probs win tonight's Major to make up for it.

Quite a final, this, much tougher than usual, with RCord booking the win ahead of Main Event winner Jessieak, with Turbo winner nishg in 4th, Sneddy 5th & Ryan 6th.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,280)

TheNit22 won MidEx 4 or 5 times in 2020, but I do believe he was breaking his 2021 MidEx duck here.

Strange how the term "nit" gets such a bad press these days, with the honourable exception of @The--Don who is very happy to be so classified, & is currently Convenor of the Sky Poker Nits Union. There's nothing wrong with being a poker nit any more than there's nothing wrong with being laggy, but the term "nit" is now deemed pejorative.

lyonsbob was third with The Bates 6th.

bearlyther has finished 1st, 4th & 4th in MidEx in the last few nights as well as winning a Main, a 7 @ 7, & a handful of FT's. He's on a quite extraordinary run. Another to keep an eye on in tonight's Major.

    BONUS RESULTS

Yesterday I reported that @misterpj had won an early morning MTT, taking half of the heads on offer.

Well how about this - this morning he won TWO more early morning affairs, so that's a 24 hour hat-trick, & he's king of the dawn brigade.

I saw a lot of irreverent chatter about this somewhere yesterday, so here's Moondance, though whether it's the same song I've no idea. Definitely not my kind of music I'm afraid.

Surely it has to go to Paul @misterpj with his TWO tourney WINS...... especially with how unlucky he is :)

Thanks for the mention, as far as treating Dear daughter, and wife goes, we have a “holiday” coming up end of August , by holiday, I mean an overnight stay near the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth.
I guess it’s similar to a two week cruise in the Caribbean.

I thought misterpj had been quiet of late, makes sense that he’s been winning. Perhaps his opponents might come along and post reems of hand histories demonstrating how he got there. Perhaps not.

Made an iffy call on the Mini FT, then it doesn’t take long for the field to catch up in a Turbo. I think I was leading from about 50 out all the way to FT when the eventual winner sat to my left with 50% more. Good fun though and a bit of pocket money.

I think you’re well enough equipped in the articulation stakes Tikay, must read much more than most, plenty of stories to share and you even know how many exclamation marks are appropriate - definitely not a thicko!!
