Event #4: The Reunion No-Limit Hold'em ($500 entry)

This played to a finish. With 13,000 entries (players could multi re-enter) it exceeded it's $5 million guarantee with ease. Incidentally, it was quite odd seeing a WSOP event with a guarantee. Not sure I can recall that previously.

It was completely dominated by USA players who are complete strangers to us, so I won't list all the cashees - there were 1,820 of them. Here's the final table payouts though - not bad money for a $500 jobbie.

1 Long Ma United States $513,604
2 Giuliano Lentini United States $317,352
3 Max Tavepholjalern United States $241,766
4 Alex Vazquez United States $185,281
5 Michael Eddy United States $142,847
6 Anthony Cass United States $110,794
7 Jugal Daterao United States $86,462
8 Derrick Stoebe United States $67,886
9 Adrian Buckley United States $53,625

Selected others...

USA - 19th Ryan Laplante, $18,117

GB (Leicester) - 113th Ketan Patel, $3,850

USA - 200th, Barry Greenstein, $3,350

GB (Cardiff) - 201st, Javier Fernandez, $3,350

GB (London) - 393rd, Tom Eady $3,100

    Event #7: Dealers Choice 6-Handed ($1,500 entry)

This ended with a rare victory for a Canadian, who busted every player at the FT bar one.

2 Andrew “AJ” Kelsall United States $60,514
3 Ray Henson United States $40,062

    No Brits cashed.

Norman Chad was 21st & Phil Hellmuth was 18th.

    Event #8: No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack ($600 entry)

    216 returned for Day 2, & only 5 these 5 remained when stumps were drawn;

    1 Zhi Wu Malden, MA, US 46,100,000 Amazon / 1 / 3
    2 Chrishan Sivasundaram Markham, ON, CA 31,500,000 Amazon / 1 / 1
    3 Ryan Chan San Francisco, CA, US 29,200,000 Amazon / 1 / 4

650 have already cashed, but only ONE Brit amongst them, & he resided in the most un-Brit name of Atanas Pavlov from London, but who sounds a little Russian to me.

This photo was taken early in the tourney. What a photo, what a room. Anyone jealous?

Event #10: Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em (freezeout) ($1,000 entry)

This is extraordinary, 1,641 runners & it was all over in a day, though it was a 16 hour day. Guess the clue is in the title.

Rather oddly, WSOP don't seem to have done the traditional winner's photo.

1 Michael Perrone United States $152,173
    2 Pierre Calamusa France $94,060
3 Jeremiah Fitzpatrick United States $69,454
4 Scott Podolsky United States $51,787
    5 Paul Dhaliwal Canada $38,999
6 John Moss United States $29,657
7 Paul Jain United States $22,783
8 Badr Imejjane United States $17,680
9 Gabriel Ramos United States $13,861

Our GB/Russian friend cashed again, 47th for $2,899.

246 cashed but I don't see any other Brits amongst them.

Events 12 & 13 are under way, but no point wasting time on them yet awhile, so we'll leave those until tomorrow.

Uh-oh. This was just minutes ago.

Just as well poker players are patient, tolerant & understanding of these occasional glitches.

This is the WSOP Introduction music, played just before shuffle up & deal of every event. Sends shivers down my spine just listening to it.

Players pay thousands to enter the WSOP, & the Dealers get $9 an hour.

think I saw a tweet somewhere saying WSOP only managed hire half the amount of dealers they wanted.

Ryan Reiss was encouraging people to apply as well

    @MARK277

They are definitely struggling to get enough Dealers. Think I read that Caesars have closed their poker rooms at Ballys & Planet Hollywood for the duration of the WSOP to free up Dealers.

If they paid a better wage, of course...

Yeah prob working very long hours and at times getting berated by players.

Shaun Deeb encouraging players to tip big so they still have dealers by the main event
