Event #4: The Reunion No-Limit Hold'em ($500 entry)
This played to a finish. With 13,000 entries (players could multi re-enter) it exceeded it's $5 million guarantee with ease. Incidentally, it was quite odd seeing a WSOP event with a guarantee. Not sure I can recall that previously.
It was completely dominated by USA players who are complete strangers to us, so I won't list all the cashees - there were 1,820 of them. Here's the final table payouts though - not bad money for a $500 jobbie.
1 Long Ma United States $513,604
2 Giuliano Lentini United States $317,352

Event #7: Dealers Choice 6-Handed ($1,500 entry)

3 Ray Henson United States $40,062

650 have already cashed, but only ONE Brit amongst them, & he resided in the most un-Brit name of Atanas Pavlov from London, but who sounds a little Russian to me.
This photo was taken early in the tourney. What a photo, what a room. Anyone jealous?

21 get paid, & Ryan Laplante (pictured below) exited 21st for $16,000. He's a superb 4 card player.
Event #10: Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em (freezeout) ($1,000 entry)
This is extraordinary, 1,641 runners & it was all over in a day, though it was a 16 hour day. Guess the clue is in the title.
Rather oddly, WSOP don't seem to have done the traditional winner's photo.
1 Michael Perrone United States $152,173

Our GB/Russian friend cashed again, 47th for $2,899.
246 cashed but I don't see any other Brits amongst them.
Event #11: Heads Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship ($25,000 entry)
57 entries & 16 remain.
Amongst those still in the hunt are Jason Koon, Galen Hall, & David Peters.
Jason Koon, incidentally, was announced as a GG Poker Global Ambassador earlier this week.
Events 12 & 13 are under way, but no point wasting time on them yet awhile, so we'll leave those until tomorrow.
Uh-oh. This was just minutes ago.
Just as well poker players are patient, tolerant & understanding of these occasional glitches.
This is the WSOP Introduction music, played just before shuffle up & deal of every event. Sends shivers down my spine just listening to it.

Meanwhile, over at The Orleans......
Players pay thousands to enter the WSOP, & the Dealers get $9 an hour.
That's it for now, if I see anything else I'll post as & when.
Matusow gets worse.....
I'm well jel.
Ryan Reiss was encouraging people to apply as well
They are definitely struggling to get enough Dealers. Think I read that Caesars have closed their poker rooms at Ballys & Planet Hollywood for the duration of the WSOP to free up Dealers.
If they paid a better wage, of course...
Shaun Deeb encouraging players to tip big so they still have dealers by the main event
