Who won what, Friday 15th October - BWBH goes to nagrom

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,805

Morning.

A solid set of numbers last night, with all 10 Featured MTT's performing well. Weather, longer dark nights, little or no football on TV, it all helps.

A very big day for horse racing lies ahead as Ascot put on a tremendous card. The Jockeys Championship has been in the balance of late but it now looks like Oisin Murphy will seal the deal this afternoon. What an interesting character he is. Wonderful jockey, very articulate, but has had a few problems with cocaine & alcohol. I fancy the Oisin Murphy story still has plenty of twists & turns to come. A huge talent if he does not waste it. Good luck Oisin.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,008)

A fine win for bulgy, probably his best ever result.

Have to confess, I was rooting for runner-up DoyleBrun, who is a great lad I've had the pleasure of meeting a few times. He won a little BH a couple of days earlier actually, so it seems like he's still got game.

£6,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£7,300)

BWBH went to nagrom, following up on his win in the Sunday night £6,000 BH last month.

This MTT almost always gets dominated by the better players & last night was no exception, that's some FT. The early leader was craigcu12 & I was hoping he might go very deep but sadly it was not to be.

    £8,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£9,420)

Avenger Main throws up good & bad winners but FuzzyDare is in the former category, rated at 92 by Sharky, a Sunday Major winner in May, & going back a few years he took a share of the FTJ one night too. We don't see much of him these days though, just 8 MTT's in the last 3 months.

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£4,755)

flicks30 has bits & pieces of form in the book but I'd be surprised if this was not a PB.

    A decent quality FT for a Mini, with mcg899 in 2nd & the in-form BlairReid 5th.

    £1,000 Mega Stack B/Hunter (£1,160)

woodsy90 finalled this a few nights earlier but it all went wrong & he was first to exit. Not so last night, when he went all the way & was the last man standing.

Remarkably, b_oakdave has made this final for the last three nights on the bounce, finishing 1st, 4th & 6th. Impressive stuff.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,340)

JBERGZ is fast making a name for themselves, just 218 MTT's but has booked wins in a Main, Sheriff, Turbo & now Quickdraw. From such a small sample size that quite the CV.

Not an easy Quicky either, with Dooobs, boring Accountant & Jessieak all involved.

Much improved form from 23blackeye, 3rd in the Turbo & then took the closer.

The surprise result here was Swog in 6th.
