I thought they had the blinds go up fast in those games and one hand where you raise fold or raise c bet and then fold, plus a blind level rise can change you from been 20 BB deep to been 6bb deep so yes actually its an easy mistake to make. I live quite some distance from Manchester and the cost of travel and everything else would make it near impossible for the trip to be plus ev once all costs are considered. That been said I did think it would give my girlfriend a chance to meet her best friend who lives near by and I have missed playing cards in an actual casino since the pandemic etc and I did initially think okay it could just be a fun trip and etc its not always about the money. It would be nice to meet people in real life etc and say hi to people.

You can do poker classes on trains.
Its a live class through the poker training site I play a monthly subscription to. I mean I spose you can get internet on trains these days but its not too reliable and last time I watched a youtube video on a train an old lady objected to what I was watching and threatened to beat me up. I had to go and get the ticket inspector for help because I couldn't get in a physical fight with an elderly lady who looked in her 80s so I looked ridiculous Monty Python like help me an old lady is threatening to beat me up. Realistically though I dont claim to be a tough guy but I think I would of had an edge in that one just when the police come to arrest me saying well she started it wouldn't hold.
I should of had my headphones in she objected to the view points been expressed in truth so did I but I can watch and listen to people and views I disagree with Why does it have to be automatically assume I agree with everything I am watching? btw it was a guy denying climate change and global warming etc. I do believe we cause global warming/climate change and it is a real problem but that doesn't mean I can't listen to someone expressing an alternate view point. and even If I am a climate change denier which I am not how does threatening to beat me up change that it won't maybe try to reason with me and debate it? Mind you can you really reason with climate change deniers?

I knew it wouldnt be a short story. I could be really reckless, throw caution to the wind, and write a reply suggesting that assessing everything in life by whether it was plus or minus EV may not be the optimum way to live your life, and that you could miss out on a lot, but I am not.
