If you had a piece of string long enough to cover the circumference of the Earth, how much more would be needed for the string to be one metre above the earth?
Answer - Approximately 6 metres.
Same premise with wrapping the string round a tennis ball, how much more would you need to be one metre above the tennis ball?

I knew about the earth one but not the tennis ball one.
Simple maths really.
It will always be approx 6 metres, whatever the sphere.
C=2πr
So 2 x π = 6 ( for ease of calculation. Yes we know it's a little more)
So if you increase the radius by 1, the circumference must increase by 6.
Genuine interesting though.

This may be the reason that the employees get given a bottle every month as they would have to leave the County Lines in order to legally by alcohol.
That's a bit like banning the sale of alcohol in Burton on Trent.
