Afternoon all.

All over the shop here, dead busy, but hopefully we can get the thread buzzing a little later.

Play starts at 4pm today, 2pm Saturday, 1pm Sunday.

Not sure how many Updates I can manage today, I'm flying solo, but at the very worst, we'll get them going Saturday, or Sunday for certain.

Mr Channing, sadly, is unwell so won't be here. Sky James will be in charge (nominally), and Sky Sam will be here, though he's semi-retired these days it seems to me. Still a Leeds fan though.

    2.45pm;

    Fella just fell down the entrance stairs. It's only 6 steps but down he went. Elderly chap. I do worry about them.

    Quite a queue at Reception at the mo. Bit worried we will be overwhelmed by runners, but what will be will be.

    My work station is now required as a poker table, so I'm gonna be AWOL for a while.

    I'm playing, too, Table 8, Seat 5, with a £220 Bounty on me. GL me getting a move through.

    Am on a nice table, which includes CraigCU12 and chrisdonkb, plus some ordinary people.

    An hour in, I won with Jacks and Queens, and lost with 9-8hh and 2-2.

    The 2-2 was a bit weird. 5 way, bet called every street, the board ran out.....


    3-3-K-3.........2


    So I boated up, but that river was about as useless as can be and (5 way) it effectively never even improved my hand.

    25,000 starting, got up to 43,000, but back down to 29,000 now. You'd get a better return on gilts.

    It was a poor attempt at humour, but could not let the opportunity pass.

    If you are not too busy, can you close off the forum comp please? I've not even done the selection sheet yet but I can do that and settle up once I've done here.
