Morning.

It's an ill wind.... Whilst Storm Arwen was wreaking havoc across northern England & Scotland, Online Poker was maybe the only beneficiary, & that was the case last night as MTT traffic was decidedly sprightly.

Today's first task, as always, was to peruse the Forum wearing my Moderator's hat. Nutjob conspiracy theories - I'm sure they are getting worse - betting tips from someone who might just be the world's worst tipster, & a quite reasonable thread of chuntering about the Sky Poker software. Living the dream, me.

In sport, the Ashes loom ever closer - the first Test is December 8th - & yesterday England quickie Mark Wood said;

"It's one of the biggest things I can think about. Winning in Australia would be one of the biggest achievements of my career," he said.

The World Cup was huge, we've won the Ashes at home, but to go there...

To come up against this 'baggy green' thing that they keep talking about.

We'll be having our baggy blues on and I'd love to stick one up them."

A word of advice to Mr Wood. Stop running your mouth, it's the wrong thing, against the wrong opponent, at the wrong time.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£980)

    7 @ 7 winner jimbo31 out to get a discount for playing 7 @ 7, it's the only MTT he ever plays these days though he has a Mini win on his CV last year. Been here a very long time, & he wrote this on the Forum back in 2009 on a thread which asked how players aliases were arrived at;

    "MINES QUITE SIMPLE REALLY.... MY NAME IS JAMIE BUT PEOPLE CALL ME JIMBO... AND I STARTED PLAYING ON SKYPOKER WHEN I WAS 31... HENCE JIMBO31...AM NOW 33 AND STILL ON THE SITE?? ANY LOYALTY BONUS IS MOST WELOCME SKY LOL "-)

    I believe he was a mate of MickJenn - anyone remember him?

    Major_Tilt - related to Catch 22's Major Major perhaps? - was runner-up, with Ding_aling 3rd.

    £6,000 Sharpshooter (£7,410)

    A lovely result for riverdam, winning Sharpy Main for almost £1,400. Been doing well lately, with victories in 7 @ 7, Quickdraw, & most notably, Avenger Main.

    Fuelled by that lovely shot of adrenalin we get when we win, riverdam was up early this morning & played a £50 BH that went off at 7am - & won that too. Decent field in this morning's 7am affair, too, here's the Top 3;

    1st; @riverdam £49.17

    2nd; @BERGKAMP26 £23.73

    3rd @misterpj £18.48

    So well done riverdam on an unusual double, & of course well done @misterpj

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,755)

    CT501 won his 2nd Reload this year, & he has a few 7 @ 7 results too.

    That alias reminded me of OnlyOneCT, who was a bit of a character here back in the day, & I noticed he's been on the site a few times recently. Hope he's keeping well, he was quite well known on the site back in the day.

    £1,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,200)

    Apart from a solitary MTT 3 weeks ago, Turbo winner stONER55 has been AWOL since June, but a £446 score here may mean we'll see a little more of them now. Interesting how folks come & go.

    2nd was Swimmr, with Doobsy 4th.

    Mean Machine was 2nd, as well as 3rd in Sheriff. He'll be back in the winner's enclosure very soon.
