You have quoted many people with absolutely no place in this sort of stuff. The "Alliance for Natural Health" is one of the worst.
Let's start with the title. Firstly, it is not an "Alliance". It is an advocacy group. Set up and run by 1 man-"Doctor" Verkerk (I'll come back to that bit). Secondly, it in no way is an advocate for "natural health". For some 20 years this "group" has been relentlessly campaigning for the removal of all regulation in relation to dietary supplements.
This fruitcake believes that medicine can, pretty much in its entirety, be replaced by the use of Multivitamins. Particularly, er, the multivitamins that he sells and wants to sell. And that all those inconvenient studies that show overdosing on certain vitamins is massively carcinogenic are all made up.
There are 3 types of "Doctor" in the UK. There are Medical Doctors. There are people who got a Ph.D, which will be in a different field. And there are "honorary" doctorates given by Universities.
People who are not medical Doctors should not opine on medical matters using the term "Doctor". Because it is designed to mislead. And the "group" that "self selected" and "self reported" are, of course his clients and his fans.
While I was at University, my University gave a Doctorate to a then well-known singer. Are you (or anyone) going to post the thoughts on sexual matters from "Doctor" Gary Glitter?
