Ukraine had, at the last count, 44.13 million people. The UK is not accepting 100,000 people. It is automatically denying 44 million people the right to apply. Only people with close family members in the UK are able to apply. While knowing that the vast majority of that 100,000 never will.
The World, and particularly Europe, are doing their bit. And we are not. So far, we have given Visas to 50 people. Pathetic.
A little girl's moving rendition of the hit song 'Let It Go' from the animated film Frozen, performed and recorded while she hunkered down in a bomb shelter in Kyiv, has gone viral as Ukrainian forces continue to fight off a Russian invasion. Video of the girl, named Amelia, singing at the shelter was first posted to Facebook on Thursday by Marta Smekhova, who says she filmed it with permission from the girl's mother. 'From the first word in the [bomb shelter] came complete silence... everyone put their business aside and listen to a song by this girl who was just beaming light...even men couldn't hold back the tears,' Smekhova wrote. It is unclear when the video was taken or where the shelter is located. The footage has been shared 99,000 times on Facebook. It has been reposted on various social media sites, with each version racking up tens of thousands of views. On Sunday, plans for Poland to send fighter jets to Ukraine were given the 'green light' by the US amid warnings from Russia that countries hosting Kyiv's military aircraft could end up being involved in an armed conflict. In the video, Amelia belts out a version of Let It Go for those sheltering in the bunker. Some are seen lying on the floor, while other stand or sit around Amelia and record her performance on their phones. The song was originally recorded for the soundtrack of the animated Disney film Frozen. Sung by actress Idina Menzel, it won the Academy Award for Best Original Song and reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100.

50 seems a stupidly low number. Given the UK having a history of being refugee and immigrant friendly I just can't get my head around that number. Is the UK at capacity?
Yeah mate that boy struck a chord with me. Not ashamed to say this I was crying on and off for 15 mins. Luckily no-one saw ☺️ That 16s clip will stick with me for more than a day or two. The boy looks alone, lost and so upset.
Wars/conflicts suit very few, thinking into it children his age may never see their Dads again. What a sombre thought and sorry to leave that there. As you say may it's what people need to see.
The sooner a comprise is made the better for all concerned.

Assume all above board and all that, it's bloomin' heart-wrenching. There needs to be a comprise and we can do better than this.
Its blatant murder, so sad that we wont/cant challenge this.
I know that whoever filmed it didn't because they understood the impact it would have but still, that child is broken who wouldn't go to him.
That 16s clip will stick with me for more than a day or two. The boy looks alone, lost and so upset.
