If the Ukrainians do push Russia back with the aid of western weapons & training, then this could lead to a major escalation by the Russians. Whichever way you look at it, it's going to get worse.

Thoughts and prayers with you at this difficult time.
Let's look at the things you underlined. Let's leave to 1 side for the moment that many of the things Ukraine were doing in their own country are now being done to them by foreign invaders in their country. Let's look at the UK. And the things you underlined.
There have certainly been instances that could be classified as arbitrary killing. De Menezes, for example.
Degrading etc treatment of detainees? Plenty.
Serious problems with the independence of the judiciary? Are you aware that the Government selects every Judge to hear every case, including ones where they are the Defendant?
Physical abuse against civilians? It happens. Everywhere.
Serious acts of corruption? We are amongst the World leaders for that.
Failed to take adequate steps to prosecute officials...who committed abuses? That has happened in the UK on a truly industrial scale.
In the light of all this-2 simple questions:-
1. In the light of the above, do you think it is right that Putin should now invade the UK?
2. Are you going to go into your Local Serviceman's Club/Legion etc and say how proud you would be if the country for which you once served were to be invaded by a foreign nation?
