So I think although it's pretty standard to get AK in here based of what I had seen I pretty sure this wasn't a great play at all. So the two players in the hand were basically polar opposites the guy who had Aces had practically not raised the entire time I was on the table so when they 5 bet jam their range looking back on it is basically always Aces or Kings, they had been very passive and when I called it off I kinda sighed to myself because I knew that they had aces but somehow couldn't find the fold as I should have. I wasn't concerned about the other player though as just a few hands before he called a 5 bet jam 3 ways with KJ (and obviously got there against my aces because it's rigged and all that).

Simply a cooler in my opinion. Don't think we can fold AK suited here, we block pocket AA and KK.

I know you say that one of the villains was very nitty and passive, but do you think they would play QQ or AK the same way?

Just an unlucky spot where we just have to take our medicine and move on.

So this hand is quite interesting and has me playing a hand which I don't think many would expect me to play in the way.

    Preflop:
So obviously this is a very strange preflop line to take with this kind of a hand, one thing which I was doing more often last nigh in cash was playing my button very aggressive preflop, since I do have absolute position. So I was raising and 3 betting quite wide and large following a few limps with both hands for value and some preflop bluffs on the button. So as this is one of the hands that I would potentially use as a 3 bet bluff I decide to use it as a raise bluff here. In a tournament I would just overlimp here as the hand I have is an okay drawing hand but obviously not great, however in cash I try to overlimp less due to the rake so I want to try win preflop is possible especially with a bluff hand. Another note I intended to make it 75p but typed it in wrong somehow.

And I manage to make 2 limpers fold and am heads up to a flop.

    Flop:
Obviously this is a pretty good flop for my actual hand but I do think that their range would generally connect better, however my intention was to C-Bet this flop. However the opponent donk leads very small so I elect to call, as the worst thing that I think could happen to me is getting 3-Bet shoved on this flop and having to fold out. I would assume he would have some sort of 9 or a draw, perhaps 2 pair but I would imagine very strong hands would go a bigger size to protect.

    Turn:
Obviously I pick up a small amount of equity on the turn and the opponent goes for a much more standard size going large on this turn card. I imagine again for him to do this with a 9 or perhaps 98 or a draw. So I decide after thinking about it that with my increased equity that I can call here as well as most likely I can hit any king or a 4 as well as a heart now to win.

    River:
Well obviously this is just a dream river my hand is insanely disguised and then the opponent jammed with a stone 3 barrell bluff and I obviously snap it off.

A fairly big fold today that im not sure too many people would make but I do feel that I have saved 20 quid in doing so.

    Preflop:

Very standard raise with AA and 2 callers.

    Flop:

It's generally a good flop for my hand and my range in general as im going to have all the overpairs and strongest overcards, so I decide to obviously bet to get value out of lower pairs and other overcards and get 2 callers.

    Turn:

This is a perfect card as I will now be able to get value out of any kings which have called the flop, so I decide to go for a big sizing to get value out of all the Kx hands and get 1 caller.

    River:

Obviously its possible the opponent is holding a 6 as they will have a lot more 6s in their range than me and would most likely slow play it, however I think there is much more chance that they will have a lower pocket pair or a King so I want to get value mainly from a king so I go with a sizing I think a king can call.

Now the opponent horribly jams all in and after a tank I decide it's just too likely they have a 6 as they will be almost never bluffing here and that they would assume based off my line that I have a strong king and can get value out of a shove and make the lay down, which they then tell me that AK was no good so I assume I was correct
