The beauty of Live Poker is you get to meet such a wonderful array of characters.

By way of a conversation opener/ice-breaker, when I sat next to him on Friday, I asked this lovely looking lad what line of work he is in. His answer, & the backstory, knocked me over.

    Guess his job.

First clue - EVERYONE has heard of his job title. But I doubt anyone of you have ever met someone who does what he does.

In other news for you @Tikay10

On the FT of the GUKPT at Manchester now is, amongst others, James Rann and Ali Mallu.

Ha, great news. Proper little rascal is Ali, impossible to dislike him though.

Just 6 spots from the bubble so play is at snails pace as everyone is trying to sneak into the money.

    36 paid.

This is the athletic looking Swog, though I'm not at all sure what that posture is suggesting.

    A recent exit was @NOSTRI

By my famously poor reckoning, there are 38 left, with 36 paid.

A better photo of @Super_Oli which was taken yesterday. So that's what an online beast looks like in real life.

Back home after a lovely lunch at West Hove Golf Club and looking forward to keeping up with this. Great pics and updates @Tikay10, most of the people I would rail seem to already be out, which is a shame.

Quick question, how does Rose ever lose a tourney? Surely if she just stood up and put her coat on throughout the whole thing she wouldn't lose a hand?

    CORRECTION.

The bubble has NOT burst, we are on the bubble now. Hand for hand.

A suggestion was made when 36 were left that £440 be taken off the top & paid to the Bubbler.

However, one player objected so that kite will not fly.

    Play continues, H4H.

A further but not very helpful cryptic clue to our mystery man.

Does he play the back end of a horse in the local amateur dramatics play about Red Rum?
  • Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 171,805

    Brutal Scenes

Still on the bubble, play stops & everyone crowds round to watch a showdown between Alvez (K-K) & a local gentleman (A-K).

    10 - 5 - 5 - 7.......... A

    And H4H continues.

I've been ticked off by Irish Rose for saying 36 get paid, in fact it's 35. Tough gig, this.

    Absolutely not.

The horse pictured is very famous indeed, incidentally & is a bit of a clue.

It feels like an absolute lock that @Tikay10 forgets to tell us the answer to this!
