Seems strange timing, 2 days before a game. And only 8 games left.
I just hope they don't get the upturn in results that they are obviously banking on.
Completely agree. Dyche deserved better. A lot better.
He has spent 10 years working miracles with naff all money. To use the last 2 transfer windows as an example, there has been a net transfer spend of about £0. Let's use 3 ins and outs to show what I mean.
1. Defence. Sold Gibson to Norwich-a relegation rival. For about £8 mill. Bought Collins from Stoke for £12 mill. Not an upgrade for this season-although true to say Collins has more future potential
2. Midfield. Lost Brady on a free. That happens. Though worth noting Burnley have barely signed anyone of note on a Free. Signed Cornet for £12 mill, who looks decent
3. Attack. Sold Wood. For £27 mill. Again, to a relegation rival (at the time). Bought Weghorst. For less than half the fee. Because he is less than half the player.
Burnley have been operating on a relegation budget for years. Consistently not been in the top 17 for wage bills, transfers, attendance.
The main reason they have stayed up has been the Ginger Mourinho. Who has showed Burnley a lot of loyalty when other clubs made enquiries.
I hope they go down. And don't come back up next season under whichever new Manager they already have lined up.
Sam Allardyce 3/1 Nuno Espirito Santo - 7/1 Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - 8/1 Daniel Farke - 10/1 Michael Duff - 12/1 Rafael Benitez - 14/1 Carlos Corberan - 16/1 Wayne Rooney - 16/1 Tony Pulis - 20/1 Michael Carrick - 25/1 Roy Keane - 25/1

The year is 2034… and I am still having nightmares about that Maxwell Cornet miss.
But as painful as that was, it is not what will confirm our inevitable relegation from the Premier League this season. It will be our inability to put up a fight against, never mind beat, the teams around us at the bottom.
Everton aside, we have failed to win any of our games against Watford, Norwich, Leeds or Newcastle. In the three games against Norwich and Watford, we have not scored a single goal.
I love Sean Dyche with every breath in my body, but I cannot say with any good conscience that he has been able to rally the team for the fight this year, or impress on them the significance of those matches. I am also really struggling to understand his stubborn persistence in selecting a midfield pairing of Ashley Westwood and Josh Brownhill, when it is so painfully ineffective.
Our best spell this season came when Jack Cork returned, freeing up Brownhill to drive forward and getting the ball to the feet of Wout Weghorst. We look scared and out of inspiration. From the top down.
I keep being told that it’s not over yet, but this weekend felt like the end. I am trying to remain positive, but this season is slowly sucking all the positivity out of me.
There must be some disagreements behind closed doors because Burnley have been a pinch away from having a great season. They have drawn a lot of games and missed some sitters. If 2 or 3 of those sitters went in then Burnley's season would of been a totally different story.
I always thought that if Burnley went down then Dyche would still not get fired.
Being an Everton fan, I obviously hope they finish lower than us this season. But regardless, Dyche's interviews were the best thing about Burnley being in the top flight.
Bit of a shame this one. Saw a few of his interviews and see there is no BS about him which is a good start. A straight from the heart type.
What was the reason for the sacking if anything has came to light? Seemed to do well given restrictions and has been said in a way is that he appeared to be relatively safe.
A change of direction for the club, a new voice in the changing room, not being backed by the owners financially or being allowed to bring in the players he wants?

LOL
Usual isn't it? "Big Sam" as favourite for a relegation threatened club.

Take your pick;
Where will Burnley turn next?
Sam Allardyce 3/1
Nuno Espirito Santo - 7/1
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - 8/1
Daniel Farke - 10/1
Michael Duff - 12/1
Rafael Benitez - 14/1
Carlos Corberan - 16/1
Wayne Rooney - 16/1
Tony Pulis - 20/1
Michael Carrick - 25/1
Roy Keane - 25/1
Wonder what price for "none of those"?

FTR, I think this is the WRONG decision. A proper old fashioned football club, battling against the 'money' clubs.

No, that is not a joke.
