just reread it ... I'm taking the 22k cash out but would wait till a couple of days before Man City's last game to see if the cash out is increased slightly .. what ever this punter does GL to him

Reminds me of when Leicester came up into the prem league all those supporters that put a token bet on them winning the league at 5000/1, how happy they were

Liverpool not beating Southampton (away) tomorrow would kill off the cash out.

If Liverpool announce Salah and Van Dijk not in starting squad due to injury that £22K could well get chopped before Kick off.

A realistic bettor takes the offer, a degen ? well that's the question really but 220 X your original stake is a great ROI.

A guy who punts £100 on that sort of bet probably ain't that interested in cashing out :D

Assuming they beat Southampton tomorrow, does that increase the cash out offer?

    I shouldn't think so.

The crux is not whether Liverpool win their last 2 but whether Villa will beat Man City at the Etihad and Liverpool can overcome a rampant Real Madrid.

Villa are currently 14/1 to beat City
Liverpool are at 11/10 to beat Real

Whether Liverpool beat both Southampton and Wolves has no bearing on either of those two outcomes.

Currently Liverpool are 4 points behind City.
Beating Southampton puts them within 1 point.
I just wondered if getting closer would increase the cash out offer.

If Liverpool win their last 2 then Villa only need to draw.

I'm with you on this one.

There are a few results that have to go Liverpool's way for this to come in. Beating Southampton is one of those results.

The cash out offer should increase, although not by a huge amount.

I thought it might, so maybe he should wait until tomorrow to cash out.

All other things being equal, yes.

But Salah & van Dijk ruled out of Southampton game-I would expect that the offer has gone down slightly.

If Liverpool fail to win tonight, the cash out offer shrinks to nil though, does it not?

I am guessing when such a huge bet can come in like this one they tend to take an even bigger vig because most people will just cave in. If their usual vig is true value minus 10% then I would not be surprised if in this situation they increase it to something like 20% or 30% or maybe even more. The deal or no deal vig, which is an identical situation, was highly variable afaik, playing with peoples cajones as much as they can until they take a reward that's worth far less than their box.

Obviously if you have infinite money then you let it play out because that is the highest ev spot, but no one has infinite money and hardly anyone ever opens every box in Deal.

    Yes.
Liverpools best odds for tonight are 2/5 to win.
So to get any value on the cash out, you would have to get 2/5 on the £22k.
That means the cash out offer would have to increase by £8,800.
I am not sure it would.
That is of course if you prefer the bet, to just taking the money.
Taking the money would seem to be the wisest choice.

If you're gonna cash out, you'd do it before tonight's game.

Liverpool win and the cash out maybe increases ever so slightly.
Liverpool draw and the cash out will decrease massively.
Liverpool lose and it's game over.
