It has just gone dark outside. Hopefully we will read all about it in the morning's papers.
I dunno?….perhaps @HAYSIE could maybe post something on it? Tomorrow?? 🤔
Going SNOW-WHERE! -15C Arctic freeze grinds UK to a halt with thousands forced to sleep in cars and airports overnight as flights, trains and buses are cancelled and schools are shut... with more snow due today
Hundreds of drivers spent several hours stuck on the M25 in Hertfordshire overnight (centre and top right) as snow and ice caused havoc on the roads. Traffic ground to a standstill with motorists moving several hundred yards in hours as cars skidded and struggled in the heavy snow. More travel disruption is expected on the roads (bottom right), railways and at airports, as well as school closures, after snow fell (left) across parts of the UK last night, with up to 10cm more forecast today. Snow and ice weather warnings are in force from the Met Office across northern Scotland, southeast and eastern England.
Drove from Stoke to Hull and back yesterday. Roads were busy, no traffic probs due to weather A50, M1, M18, M62, 300 mile round trip about 3 hours each way with a stop.
Brr-ace for even MORE snow! Forecasters issue yellow weather warnings across Britain with parts of the country facing -10C temperatures overnight
Britain is bracing for further snow and ice as yellow weather warnings for snow and ice were issued across the UK with temperatures set to plummet to -10C overnight. The Met Office has extended a yellow warning for snow and ice covering northern Scotland and north east England until noon on Friday after the record for the coldest night of the year so far was broken for the second night in a row last night. And the cold weather is not expected to let up tonight, with parts of the north anticipating well below freezing lows of -10C tonight.
Britain will hit MINUS 18C tonight as Met Office issues Sunday weather warning for ENTIRE UK as canals and lakes freeze and beaches turn white with no let-up ahead in Britain's big freeze
Britain will hit -18C tonight as the Met Office issues a Sunday weather warning for most of the country, with canals (bottom left) and lakes freezing and beaches turning white (top) with no let-up in Britain's big freeze. The Met Office said that the 'extreme' cold temperature could be seen in Braemar, Scotland, which has already seen -17.3C in the current cold snap as snow, ice and bitterly cold winds continue to batter Britain. The rest of the country will not be much warmer, with temperatures ranging from -14C to -8C expected this evening (bottom right, a snowplough gets to work).
Burst water main transforms suburban street into extraordinary icicle forest as Britain shivers in sub-zero freeze
The icicle forest was created accidentally by passing cars which splashed water from a burst water main onto a hedge by the side of the road. Helen Stratford, a mum from Staunton, Gloucestershire, saw the creation at the bottom of her road which caught her and other local's attention. Her daughter, Sabrina, 9, was fascinated by the icicles, and like many others wanted to go and see the icicles close up.
Met Office issues NEW weather warning for today: Half of the country will be swathed in ice with blizzards and six inches of snow on the way on Sunday after Trafalgar Square fountains FREEZE
Weather warnings have been issued for most of Britain as blizzard conditions and accumulations of up to 6ins are possible on high ground. There is a risk some upland areas could become cut off, while power cuts and travel disruption could also occur. The wintry conditions are likely anywhere from London, for instance the freezing of Trafalgar Square fountains, and the M4 corridor northwards, forecasters say.

@HAYSIE
Thanks Tony, enjoyed perusing those.
Any chance of a weather update? 💩
There’s even an online tracker that monitors where the gritters are currently working their winter magic on the roads.
