ELO were really right up there with the best, & much of their stuff has aged well.
"ELO" as such no longer exists, they all had a bit of a fallout, so now Jeff Lynne has "Jeff Lynne's ELO" which apparently gets round the problem of who owns the name.
Jeff has been involved in all sorts of collaborations too, with the likes of Pal McCartney, Eric Clapton, Prince, Tom Petty etc, & has even produced some regurgitated Beatles stuff. He lives in LA these days I believe.
So many great memories of ELO, & I probably attended more of their gigs than any other band.
glad you liked those posts @Tikay10 , been a while since i got a like haha think we are close to the end, but anyway heres a wee late night playlist.....hope anyone listening digs them as much as i do;
This is a track that was originally written and performed by a band called Sepultura.
Musically it reflects its dark metal roots. However, the lyrics are so apt and absolutely relevant in the here and now and it's these that I think are a great political, social and religious commentary.

My wife goes to see The E.L.O. Experience every year, one of the best tribute acts on the circuit who manage to look and sound like the real deal.
The reason she doesn't go to see Jeff Lynne's ELO, well £145 a ticket compared to £28 for the tribute, plus as they seem to only play the bigger cities there's travel and accommodation to factor in.
On way to my job today and the van breaks down, pi ssing down with rain had to push the van over a mega busy cross road haha, lucky I’m close to the city today and can jump on a bus home So I guess I’m a road runner
every year we go to see Bad Manners, Big Fat Panda and Splodgenessabounds and they do nellie the elephant which is one of the songs that gets the biggest cheer after this...... https://youtu.be/R8g4dBRmwUU?si=0BxtJo4pm3GZz3jt
