The above reminded me of 1 of my favourite US Blues Bands. My graduation ceremony was the day of Live Aid. Can't remember much about that-do remember this great performance. Live Aid had an enormously White cast. So George invited 2 guests-Albert "The Master of Telecaster" Collins, and Bo Diddley.
edit; great posting guys! @stokefc@rabdeniro just listening now edit- that bakerman track is wonderful.....i love that space track tae @rabdeniro that typa sound is magic, you could listen to it all day
Covered by many people. Only known cover song by Pink Floyd. Rolling Stones covered it, and Mick Jagger famously said no point listening to it, as the original is better. So-here is the original from Slim Harpo in 1957
@Essexphil its a wonderful track, i love muddy waters singing it, sure i posted that near the beginning of this thread.......never knew floyd done a cover.
Liked the 1st and 3rd of those. Not heard the Floyd version before.
The Stones have done loads of great Blues covers (although King Bee by them is awful). Indeed, their first album was all Chuck Berry covers-this is their first single. 1963. Their last 2 albums-Blue and Lonesome & Hackney Diamonds-are just the Stones going back to the beginning of their careers
