looks like i have a few tracks to catch up on over the wekend....ive been pretty ill recently.....hopefully on the mend now.......had a few tunes on today so defo a sign im feeling a bit better;
and a wee live recording from the animal collective.....imagine being at that gig, such an all consuming sound, love how its all authentic; here we come mr air plane!
Here, have some more of Mr Slim, this music could be used to revive people who don't have a pulse.
Proper dance music! One of the original Chicago guys but sadly long passed (Moved to Chicago I mean, not born there). I've been wracking my brain and I think that Buddy Guy is the only remaining 'original', who at 88 was still touring until earlier this year, and still with incredible levels of energy! He's settled down now to just a few gigs now and then, mostly (if not all) at his Legends club. I discovered in 1990 thanks to (you guessed it!) Eric
very groovy @Tikay10, those old blues are amazing .......... i was forced into listening to some u2 today, actually a great band, so many tracks, they must have some amount of hits, i was singing along for a couple hours ha.....
I heard a (new) song on radio whilst driving today and it bought back memories of 1990's in the pub telling the 'DJ' what to play. I had a regular 3 songs that I wanted playing one after the other and people soon got bored/used to my requests but they still got played.
The first two were definitely included but I can't recall the third one so I've included a few who it might be but none are hitting the exact history spot as to the third one, I'm pretty sure it was a long 8-9 minute song that used to **** people off haha.
I know none of the above is the 'Third Request' I will find out the third song from a mate who'll remember but he's going through a mens health issue at the moment so don't wanna disturb him, though it could take his thoughts away from his position for a while.
So after two months of racking my brains trying to remember the elusive 'Third Song' without success, tonight whilst watching TOTP 1996, I went on Youtube and after playing a few songs from 1996, there on the sidebar was the 'Third Song'. How I ever forgot this song I don't know but it certainly brought back some memories, so without further ado here it is.

anyways heres my highlights;
So sit back close your eyes and be transported back to Shellys, Ministry of Sound, Hacienda or your local Tiffanys.
And The Young'uns for relaxation-together with a poignant message. Showing that, however scary 2024 may seem, it is a whole lot better than 1936
