I've had a firestick for ages but I can't download any apps but that's probably me just being thick and not very tech savy, I actually tried again yesterday but gave up in the end.
I am not very good either. You need someone who is to do it for you.
I've only just found out that I can connect my laptop to my T.V. via a simple HDMI lead not bad after 15 years of watching football on my laptop.
Well done. Be careful with it. I tripped over mine ages ago, and ruined the connection.
I watched SOA from the outset wondering just how much it would differ from real MC. life.
For the uninitiated you have MCC which are Motorcycle clubs. In the UK these would typically be Owners clubs, and such clubs as FUBAR, Rejects, White Knights, Pie Eaters etc. You apply to join and the clubs are run very much as you would expect
Then you have MCs which are usually although not exclusively 1% outlaw motorcycle gangs such as Hells Angels, Outlaws, Satan's Slaves, Road Warriors, Blue Knights etc.
These are run on very strict lines with a President, Vice President, Man or Sargeant At Arms and a Road Captain. You have to be invited to join and this takes a long time and involves a lengthy probationary period.
The middle ground is occupied by "Support Clubs". These are not true MC but are clubs that operate with the blessing of the locally dominant MC, who can lay down rules under which the support club can operate.
Colours / Cuts, are everything. You earn them, you respect them and you defend them to the death.
That being established there are a few things that SOA gets wrong. The biggest is the influence that the females seem to have on their men. "Old Ladies" have no say in MC culture, they are there to be seen, to obey and to be obedient. I know that in todays society that causes outrage, but that's what it is.
Also, the main purpose of the MC is to take care of business, whatever that business happens to be. The casual attitude towards law enforcement is overdone as one of the biggest threats to the continuation of an MC is the law investigating a bar fight or some such trivial thing and uncovering something much bigger.
Whilst the public impression is of biker gangs meanacing society at will, the truth is that they prefer to fly under the radar and out of the glare of the public. Much of the more ugly side is hardly ever seen or even reported. Club business is never discussed with non patch holders and sanctions are in place to keep members in line. Really bad transgressions of club rules can lead to being "put out out in bad standing", probably the harshest punishment.
SOA has also been responsible for several cases of violence particularly in the States. One of the shows best selling piece of merchandise was a cut with the top and bottom rocker surrounding the centre piece. As if that wasn't bad enough some even sported the MC square and the 1% diamond.
Wear this at your peril. Any passing MC member on seeing it will stop and challenge you. If you're lucky you will be told to remove it, if not it will be removed for you as you are aggressively educated as to the faux paus you have just made.
It's a decent attempt at making a drama out of a very secretive closed shop.
Also check out the following films.
Stone - Set in Australia in the 70's and based on Hunter S Thompson's book written after spending a year with the H.A. Early Kawasaki KRs and not a Harley in sight.
Above The Law - Charlie Sheen portrays the true story of a cop sent deep undercover to infiltrate an MC. Michael Madsen is excellent as the leader.
Stone Cold - Brian Bosworth plays opposite Lance Henriksen and William Forsyth again infiltrating a violent MC. Very OTT but some realistic portrayal of MC culture.
My one of many claims to fame is that Charlie Hunnam is related to my my ex, I think cousin/auntie or something like that, I still don't know, but he was from Newcastle where her family was from. Though I'd never heard about the connection until SOA became popular.

There was another called Mayans M.C. There is usually a bit of poetic licence in a TV drama. I dont suppose cowboys really ate beans all the time, and sat around far ting all night. Although I do get your point.

This review is quite accurate. Unfortunately I watched it before reading the review. Four hours of my life that I will never get back. To make it worse, as I could remember much about the first series, I watched it again, immediately prior to watching series 2. Another four hours gone.
It has been a very disappointing week so far. Nothing much new in the way of a new series recently, but a few have started in the last week or so. Although most of them have been disappointing. This list includes, Suspect, High Country, The Red King, and The Turkish Detective. Although The Jetty was ok. I am catching up after the Apple+, and Disney trials, and I started watching The Cleaning Lady, and We Hunt Yogether. Although I didnt get the the end of either. Talking about getting to the end, I have been watching Presumed Innocent on Apple+. They have been releasing one episode per week. I have just watched episode 7 of 8. I didnt realise my free trial ends on the 22nd July. Last episode 24th. I need a plan.
Watched the last episode this morning. It was very good. My last trial ended on the 22nd. Started a new one today through Sky VIP. Dont suppose Apple are very happy, but there you go.

In the bleak moments after defeat on mainland Europe in winter 1939, wartime leader Winston Churchill knew that Britain had to strike back hard.
He recruited a band of eccentric free-thinking warriors to become the first 'deniable' secret operatives behind enemy lines, offering these volunteers nothing but the potential for glory and all-but-certain death.
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare tells of the daring victories for this small force of 'freelance pirates' in their many missions against the ****, often dressed in enemy uniforms and breaking all previously held rules of warfare.
Master storyteller and military historian Damien Lewis brings the true adventures of the secret unit to life, from their earliest missions to the death of the group's leader just weeks before the end of World War Two.

Be careful with it.
I tripped over mine ages ago, and ruined the connection.

There is usually a bit of poetic licence in a TV drama.

One of the most remarkable stories in the history of Special Forces' operations - Daily Express
