I started watching a true crime series on Discovery plus this week. It is called Detective Diaries. I have found some true crime series to be very good, but some are very bad. This particular series is very good. Excellent stories, told very well. If I was choosing one series to watch, this would be it. Unfortunately I cant find a trailer.
Why Matthew Mcfadyen is Succession's greatest success: Next up is a superhero blockbuster and a thriller with Nicole Kidman... after years spent in his wife's shadow (just like his character Tom!)
Tom Wambsgans was never good enough for Shiv Roy (right). In Succession (inset), she was the amoral, spoilt but intriguing daughter, scheming furiously in an attempt to rise to power and run her terrifying father's media empire. Husband Tom was dumped, duped and derided, yet still came back for more. However, as we now know, following the conclusion of the hugely successful fourth and final TV series last month, Tom had the last laugh as he managed to outmanoeuvre his equally loathsome and egotistical rivals, including Shiv's brothers Kendall and Roman, to be named boss of the fictional media conglomerate Waystar Royco. How strangely fiction can mirror real life. For billionaire lifestyles, serial cheating and cold-blooded backstabbing aside, it's a victory that British actor Matthew Macfadyen (left), who played Tom, can identify with ever so slightly. Macfadyen, 48, has been happily married to Keeley Hawes (left with her husband) for nearly 20 years.
It is definitely the time for trawling round, both for the (very rare) new series, and for programmes that missed first time around.
Because the Summer is when the multitude of TV channels count their profits. While spending next to nothing.
True despite all the channels available, there has been very few new releases. I did enjoy the Guy Ritchie film. I watched Unseen on Netflix yesterday. I havent watched anything on there for months. The Infernal Machine was a bit weird.

Der Pass. I wasnt that keen on series 1, and just watched a couple of episodes. Thought I would give series 2 a go, and enjoyed it. Am now watching the rest of series 1 to catch up, and recording series 3.
probably the best recommendation i can make for this is to say its the least 'guy ritchie' film I've seen, almost didn't watch it because it was him (that thing about King Arthur was abysmal)
