Thank you all for your very kind messages of support.
As always, I never know if it’s best to post such personal things, it helped me in the past though.
Yesterday my dear daughter had the trachea removed, she’s breathing by herself now.
She has her phone and can message me, it’s heartwarming to know she has retained her humour.
It’s a long-standing family joke that I had a ‘ near death experience’ when we holidayed in the Caribbean and I had to be helped by a quite nice young lady when I got into trouble swimming in the sea, we were told to wave our arms if we were struggling, I was waving to my wife, she waved back 🙄, luckily the young lady helped 😊
Yesterday my dear daughter messaged saying her near death experience trumps mine..dark humour huh.
We visited my dear daughter over the Xmas and New year period, her organs were improving enough to move her from intensive care to a ward, she had a few ups and downs in her stay, not helped by the elderly hard of hearing lady who was in the bed opposite telling her visitor that my daughter was in there because she tried to kill herself, people eh…
I received a message from Chloe saying Kings were hoping to move her from London to a more local hospital, and were discussing with her the options. One of the options was returning her to the hospital she came from, we had previously mentioned to consultants , doctors and nurses that no way on this planet was Chloe ever going back there.
Yesterday a doctor came by her bedside and said they were in touch with aforementioned hospital to which Chloe replied why? He looked bemused and said that is your local hospital, needless to say this upset her immensely.
Her partner rang Kings and spoke to them re-iterating the reasons why.
Last night my daughter was transferred to a different local hospital.
Fantastic to hear that there has been progress, may it continue. Please remember that your own health is also important so try and look after yourself too.

Wishing you all the best.
Thanks Mark, really appreciate your messages of support and prayers, hope your Mum is ok.
We have just returned from visiting dear daughter, she was very happy to show us that she could take a few steps, the first time she has been able to walk since October of last year.

I never know quite what to say in these situations Tom. Thoughts are with you all though. And try to believe in happy endings. They DO happen.
xx

We are visiting this afternoon.
A dreadful situation Tom, but hopefully light at the end of the tunnel now.
Hope it goes OK this afternoon.
PS - That was a good run in last night's mini, well done.
Wishing you all the best.

@tomgoodun
That's great news Tom. Fingers crossed the improvement continues.
In conclusion to this thread, a pic of my dear daughter on the day she was told she is well enough to be discharged from hospital last weekend.
Lovely to see the brightness and joy in her eyes...... Windows to the Soul
