Who won what, Thursday 11th April. Swifteyyeu wins the Main, and the FTJ pays out again

I feel obliged to start with a correction today. In yesterday's write-up I suggested @Fabraclass was a super profitable at DYM's, in fact it's SNG's, especially the Heads Up variant, he does so well at.

On to last night now, & in the prestigious Avenger Main it was @Gemmy92 playing an MTT for the first time this month who took the honours. Very low volume, just 88 MTT's in 6 years, & this was not only a PB but their first featured MTT win. He held off @chrisdonkb (2nd) & Monday's Main winner @pokarito in 5th.

In the Mini version, @Rstinson97 completed a double of sorts, as he's already won the Main version.

@daleboss basically only plays £110 events which may explain why he's played just 6 games this month, but he won last weekend's Sunday's Major for £3,600 & then added last night's BWBH for another £1,600. Toasty life when you are that good. We saw a terrific effort by @GELDY who finished 2nd. He used to attend most of the SPT's wearing horrific red jumpers but we've not seen him in a while.

@harry18110 took the opener, the first time he's won that. If anyone remembers that £50,000 Super Weekend MTT Sky ran a few years ago, he was 4th in that for over £2,000.

It's been 364 days - can we call it a year? - since @Raffer played an MTT here, but he showed up out of the blue last night & took down the 7 @ 7.

@Iam6foot2 took the Rebuy BH, a tall story if ever I heard one.

9 @ 9 must have been quite a battle between two players who I assume have played each other many times over many years, @RogueCell & @goldnballz, with Clare coming off best on this occasion. In 4th was @Natnug who made 4 FT's on the night without managing a win - 4th in 7 @ 7, 4th in 9 @ 9, 2nd in Reload & 5th in Turbo. Frustrating, but I daresay he'll get by, he must be minted.

Traffic was OK, all things considered, but sadly, that £400 guaranteed PLO8 missed significantly, coming up 7 entries shy of the 40 needed. We've done our best to promote it & support it, but it's just not happening. What will be will be etc.

In the Hitman Main there was a perfect result for @Swifteyyeu who not only satellited in - he satellited in TWICE, & then went on to win the Main itself. How good is that? It was his second Main Event win, as he won a Marksman Main last November. His best ever score was well over £4,000 for winning £20,000 guaranteed £110 entry UKOPS last October. Runner-up last night was @dingle1234 with @Gutshotter in 5th.

The Mini went to @rashchoice who won the Mega last week & has made a few FT's of late. Runner-up was @Gutshotter and as he ran 5th in the Main he gets £250 from the FTJ. That's the second straight night there has been a FTJ payout, as @ILIKE2FISH picked up £750 on Wednesday night.

After running 5th in 7 @ 7 one night last week @Redman65 won it last night, & earlier this year he won a 9 @ 9. As far as I can see, those are the only two MTT's he ever plays. The name "Redman" resonates strongly with me, as a chap named Jim Redman was a motorcycle GP racer in the sixties, mostly 250cc & 350cc, & was one of my heroes. Apart from 5 or 6 World Championships, I seem to recall he won a handful of IOM TT's. In those days racing motorbikes looked like road motorbikes, & we could go buy near-replicas. I used to attend race-meetings all over Europe, & could usually blag my way into the Paddock as I knew a few of the riders. What memories.






@BWFCx has been doing well of late, & in the last week had had three nice results - 2nd in Quickdraw, 2nd in Turbo, & then last night 1st in Turbo.

Exactly a week ago there was a tremendous FT for the £400 PLO8 in which @NChanning pipped @Enut and on that occasion, @Braveheart missed out on most of the fun as he exited 6th. It was his turn last night though & he booked the win, with @safc71 2nd & @epsomguy 3rd. Sheriff Hero a few nights ago, @weecheez1 was 4th, with @Asho28 who really does seem to have a talent for PLO8, notwithstanding his comments to the contrary, in 5th.

Slightly disappointing numbers for the Vegas Quarter Final last night, just 14 entries, quite a contrast to Monday (32), Tuesday (21) & Wednesday (23). It's so hard top predict these things. Semi Final seats went to @SPTPaul & @thisltedu Remarkably, @ILIKE2FISH won through again - that's 3 times in 4 nights, & he bubbled on the other occasion.
