after finding out about bad methodologies in the polls I have moved all in on Kamala and put a lot on the line. That's the beauty of politics. People have opinions. Here is why I disagree with various things you mention there:-
1. "Deport them all". What do you mean by "all"? Over 1 million people came into the UK last year. The vast majority legally. If we "deport them all" every Hospital in the UK, every Care Home and every University in the UK goes bankrupt. Tomorrow. Crops don't get picked. Most businesses go bust. And we starve.
2. Immigration was not the thing that won it for Trump. Not according to the pollsters. And not according to the electorate. It was the Economy. People in the US (just like in the UK) feel worse off than they did when Trump was last in power. Because they are worse off. Most voters do not care about why that is, and whether World events have caused that. They vote with their wallet.
3. Immigration was undoubtedly a factor. But there is a lot more talk than action. True now. Equally true when Trump was last in power. In the US 77% of migrants are legal migrants. Were under Trump, too. Easy to talk about immigration. But action is rather more difficult
4. Hate to break it to you. We are in Europe. We are always going to be in Europe. That is a geographical fact. The World existed before the European Union. The ECHR existed before the European Union. And is nothing to do with the European Union. Every single country in Europe belongs to the ECHR. Except Russia and Belarus

1. We are an Independent nation. With control of our own Borders. And make our own decisions as to who can and cannot come here? Or 2. The minute people realise that that involves work, and International Legal difficulties as to where you deport these people to, go crying to France and expect then to do our work for us?
All the ones that come illegally .. that’s fine .Coming the right way is absolutely fine . The irony is that France could end the boat situation, relatively easily.
I'm sure we can all agree that people risking their lives to get to Britain is an awful situation and we should give them all the help we can to improve their lives, but risking dying in the channel isn't the way and shouldn't happen in a modern world.
France can stop it. They simply announce that all the boats will be returned to France, no matter where they are found, even if they land in the UK. That way France won't be seen as a staging post to get to the UK. They can set up immigration/asylum centres and deal with legal applications for asylum in the UK there, yes I appreciate that asylum laws may need tweaking but surely that's possible, then people can apply for asylum without further endangering their lives. The UK will of course pay for a lot of this, but we are paying a fortune anyway and it's not working.
The French publicise this, it becomes common knowledge, once people know that the boats aren't an option the gangs stop being able to use them, yes they'll look at other ways of charging people to 'help' them but that's another matter. This will therefore result in far fewer people going to France as a way of getting to the UK, thus cutting immigration numbers in France too.
Just my opinion obviously and the chance of France doing this is nil as they will see it only as helping the UK and there is no way they want to do that, even if it benefits them too. Politics eh!
