ps... someone posted a just about an identical hand just an hour later from the same night on the same post a Royal flush over quads add that into the above probabilities and im guessing your getting near the 1 in several hundred billion territory. Your odds are miniscule in comparison emma :P

Had to go quickly ask chat gpt what the odds of the above hands ( royal flush v full house v Quads & Quads vs Royal flush) happening on the same night was and i was way out with my 1 in several hundred billion guess.

this is what chat gpt replied....

Even with a large number of tables and hands, the combined odds of this rare event happening twice in one night are still in the range of 1 in several trillion. It's an extremely rare occurrence, almost bordering on the impossible.

I remember randomly seeing this post a few months ago when looking through archives. Took me ages to re find it. Full house vs Quads vs Royal flush,
Full house was dead on the turn, Gutshot for the royal flush (1 outer) was 2.38% and Quads were 97.62% favourite when all the chips went in. River K of diamonds giving the gut shot the 1 outer for the Royal Flush. And the 97.62% favourite lost.
Poker is amazing embrace it :)

poker is all about big confrontations and big pots, its why its a big bet game it produces action that if you are on the receiving end of can take your tournament life or your chip stack and is why winning more than your fair share of smaller pots is so important but no one will talk about that here but its worth thinking about sorry to hear your news Emma hope you are on the up

No need to apologise mate, Poker can be wonderfully frustrating sometimes.
