Just in case anyone thought otherwise, it was not you doing the abuse & anti-railing, it was two other players.
Some players - perhaps @millys is a good example - can be infuriating, they do the things we don't want them to do. But that was one of the first lessons I was taught in poker - don't do what your opponents like, or want you to do, do the opposite, make them uncomfortable. Part of the game.
A similar "fashion" is opening sizes, which has become a bit snobbish & boorish. As the game develops, "standard" opening sizes change. But Heaven help any player who mixes it up, sometimes making it 2X, other times 5X or 6X or whatever. Mixing it up is sometimes a good thing.
I was playing at DTD last night & a young lady was repeatedly moving all-in for 30 or 40 Bigs. And the young guns were huffing & puffing & rolling their eyes. After doing it 4 times, she did it (inevitably) once too often. She had 6-6 & jammed her 40 Bigs in, & of course the fella with the Aces gratefully made the call. As she left the table, he told all his mates what an idiot she was. That level of ignorance & stupidity can only exist in poker. If someone is playing (in our opinion) REALLY badly, be nice to them....
