    It does amuse me that lots of issues that are now important for the last 14 years of Conservative Govt were deemed not to be newsworthy.

    And-as if by magic-less than 6 months into a Labour Govt all these issues suddenly become vital.

    If Labour doesn't increase taxes in the way it has, it has to either raise other taxes, or slash spending. The minute the Press say where this money should be raised instead, I'm listening. Until then-it's just noise.

    PS-here's a suggestion. The Owner of the Daily Mail, Viscount Rothermere, is worth £1 billion.

    How much tax does he pay? He's a non-dom. With a 4,700 acre farm to ensure he carries on not paying his fair share.

    Once he pays his fair share, I'm all ears. Until then, he should just shut up.
