A tip - if people are finding connections slow or in many cases the chat box facility has been really weird with missing text etc. - download Google Chrome and access Sky Poker through there - the problems disappear - it so much faster than the usual Internet Explorer !
Please invest some money in your random dealing generator. I have been playing frequently and I'm sure I'm not suffering from paranoia as the board deals at least three players premium starting hands and then flops a board that all can hit on way too often for coincidence. the other day in the 1130 400 GTD AA was dealt at least 10 or 15 times what are the odds of that happening. I also frequently seem to get dealt the same cards too often or the cards just seem to ciculate around the table. Other people complain of this in the chat box too. Come on SKY I love playing here but lets make it fair for everyone. manasa1
i have never seen so many bad beats on players before against me and for me,its ridiculous,you just dont see hands like you get on this site in a reel poker game,it leads me to belive its fixed,were playing against a computer not human beings,im quite a good player but playing here makes me feel like a right donkey,cards here are very dogey,just dont see them in reel poker.i understand sky is a buisness,but dont rip us off,at least give us a fighting chance.
ive played here a while now and enjoy the site..i only wish there were more cash tables as during peak hours it can be very frustrating trying to find any seats.i wish there was a programme that opens new empty tables when all others are full with large waiting lists..it can take up 30mins to get seated in the small blinds levels between 7pm an 10pn.
I think of myself as a poker purist and therefore rarely play The Open as it is structured in such a way that it's more about who's luckiest rather than who's more skilfull - especially in the latter stages. Since I don't really play The Open though, it doesn't bother me too much whether that structure will need change in order to accomodate the Time Bank, but I do know a lot of players that play it regularly and would not want the structure to be made any quicker than it already is. I think introducing antes to the software is important, but I would not advise it for The Open as, like I've said, I don't think it needs to be made any quicker. The thing with antes IMO is that it's better utilised on 10 seater tables where the blinds don't come around as often because obviously it will increase action. On a 6 handed table with big blinds and no antes there's usually enough action anyway to not need running antes. I do think though that the introduction of antes will be important for the Deep Stack Tournaments. Before I started this reply I had thought of another thing for improvement which I've managed to forget, lol, i'll try and think of it again and post back. @Silentbob: What I mean is, on stars on the opening hand of a tourney, the software doesn't know if the player is at their computer or not, so it will run down the time bank because it is assumed that the player is there. Also, if I went to the toilet after folding a hand, but take long enough so that another hand comes up, the same thing will apply: The software will assume i'm there and run down the time bank for me. i totally agree with you on the speed of the open i play my tournys on stars because the structure of them are far better ,when you go deep in a pstars tourny its generaly through good play and not a shove feest.

Bad beats do happen unfortunately they do run at a higher percentage than is normal on this site which is why I play limited poker on this site. I show a healthy profit on the other sites I play on but rate as a novice on sky but that could be down to the blind structure and the fact that its six handed tables. i play on fulltilt and pstars and never have had so many genuine bad beats as i do on here ,many of my friends have had the same experience. perhaps we should publish our hand histories to show how utter sic some of these are, i dont claim to be agreat player but my bankroll on ft and pstars is very healthy but not here ,so there must be something in it,anyone agree with me?
I take issue with this idea that there is an excess of bad beats on this site. Alot of the so-called bad beats are just calls made vs the short-stack. There's a tendency to ignore flaws in their own play or how the previous 50 hands and then berate the player who provides the finishing touch to a badly played tourney.
OK, i came here from PKR due to a friends recommendation, have deposited and span up a bit, but unfortunately i have to air a great number of concerns about the site as a whole which is making me serioiusly reconsider my decision, as playing here is rather stressful and unenjoyable, which is what poker is supposed to be!!
For a start, decision time at the tale is way too short. Most decisions need less than 15 seconds, yes, I agree, but as many people have mentioned, what about those really tough calls on the river for a huge pot, 15 seconds is definitely not long enough.
Secondly, the software, well, the internet popup tables. Absolutely awful. Take an age to load, action buttons are horrible, sliding scale is rubbish. Give your players a downloadable client Sky, please.
Thirdly, with the tables, Ive lost count of the number of times i've been browsing the net while playing poker, yet there is nothing to tell me its my turn to act, the sound that can be turned on is quiet and insignificant, and all too often I miss a go due to not being told its my turn to act. On all the other poker sites ive played on, the bar flashes orange/blue (depending on theme) to let me know its my turn to act!
Fourthly, the server is awful, i have never experienced so much lag while playing at a poker site, and i know other people have had the same problem. It's the same whether I'm on my uni connection or my home one, I quite often miss hands totally due to the table crashing on me, and it seems to happen more when i have a playable hand!
Fifthly, lack of games. Bringing in Omaha was a great idea, but get some Stud games, Draw games in, more people would be inclined to come and play here then.

How about a bad beat jackpot? Yes, i know its not about getting your run rivered by a flush etc. I would like to see a really! really!really! bad beat. quads over quads etc! As long as its not me. lol! However, if its a big jackpot it might not be so bad, £1m atleast! lol. Also i agree with the hand history points, more info please.
I think sky has two great things going for it, 1, the community, 2, the TV show. Other than that it is way behind the competition. The software sucks and looks horrible, hand history is terrible, no download version which means tracking software cannot be used, avatars suck (not that i use them but i know people do) Rake seems epensive, poor % of rakeback, no vip promotion (higher level you are the quicker you earn cash points), no store to spend points in. no decent buy-in tourney's that use points. small amount of games available (just hold em and omaha), Not enough 10 seater options in either MTT's or SNG's I know this seems harsh but it is meant to be constructive criticisim, if SKY has any desires to be the best it needs to have these in addition to the community and TV show, and not just one or the other.

Hi. As much as I enjoy sky poker on the tv I find playing a big dissapointment as the image and the speed is so, not good, I play regularly on full tilt and it seems to be a far more superior site, faster, better arrangements. I cannot seen to make the window on sky poker to the full size of the screen. I dont like the graphics and the tables, to look at on the screen and I find that everything is slow, maybe you should look at full tilt and try to be as good as them? Ty.

There should be some sort of limit on how long someone can be 'Away' before they get chucked. Especially in Sit and Gos, especially DYM Sit and Gos and especially Omaha DYM Sit and Gos. Players who are away for an entire tournament really make it harder to make it to the top three, because all they lose is blinds, they've no risk of losing more by actually playing hands. So you start to find yourself counting down blinds, not playing and waiting for them to inevittably run out of chips. Which slows down the play even more. And with Omaha, you're probably investing more chips in a hand than Hold Em, so the problem becomes worse.
And besides that, I just came 3rd in a DYM and the player who came second was Away the ENTIRE tournament, so basically cashed and got poker points for doing nothing. That can't be right, surely?
the lastest change of how one veiws a tourment can not be called a improvement, if i want to ckeck 4 diffrent tournys, i have to open a seprate page for each, wheres as before it was merely click on tourny, press veiw and that was it. there's someone at skypoker trying to be seen to be comming up with so called new improvements when all they have done is make a second rate site out of what was a first rate site, please tell me they dont get a bonas for doing so. someone is on tilt in the skypoker.
