Sorry guys, going to need to take a break for at least a week. Ive just watched my two pot sized bets with top pair get called by second pair all the way down, for the guy to hit 2 pair on the river. Ive lost every race ive been in i cant win a single hand. Getting so frustrated. So im off for a bit. May pop on the forums though but wont be seen on any of the tables. This kind of fortune gone on over a week now, cost me nearly £160 so im saying enough is enough.

im not ashamed mate, but im down to my last £1 in my account from £170 last week and i havent withdrawn a penny. Ive had 3 races today

Me AK opponent shoved me i called he had 55 i lose.

Same opponent i had QQ I shove He calls with A7 flop has two 7s in it.

Another game i shove with 8s get called by AJ flop AJJ

Ive just had enough of it. i cant win a single 50 50 or even a single hand. i need to take time to recover, poker is my only sorce of income, so taking a hit like this is going to set me back weeks.

    Hi Don

It was only recently that I came off of a run of 6 consecutive weeks similar to yours, no cards no hits beaten on the river, went from £70 right down to £6 and all of a sudden it changed, you are probably better having a break, gl in whatever you do:)

I would play cash mate, but for the level i need to avoid the vast amount of idiots i cant afford to join, im unemployed and signing on, hense poker being my main income. I struggle to much in the lower stakes and just burn money away. Plus i dont understanfd this NL30 (is the £30 BB or 30pBB?)

    NL30 - is both 30p bb and a £30 buy in lol.

Play the fish - take their money and move up.

Everyone has to do it, well not everyone, but most people start down at the lowest cash level.

Its part of your poker journey, and you deffo wont look back or regret it.

You say ur bankroll was £170? - that is easily enough to play 5p/10p (NL10) - where steady, maybe even boring, abc poker will make you easy money. (you cud play your mtts/dym's/bounty hunters on the side to break up the grind)

Deposit 30 quid if u have it and give it a go today

Ive put my last £1 on England to win today, thats comming from a Scot that is as Scottish as you can get (no racism intended) so ive killed temptation to jump back on the tables.

Other than that ill vist the forums but nothing else

My weekly deposit limit a fiver ive already put £5 in today and got fished. Ive upped that to £25 but i still need to wat 24 hours for that.

I had a shot of the 30p tables but i still found i got fished lol. Although not as bad as the 4p tables. what time do you usually play, ill maybe put in a little tomorrow and get on a table with you and learn the cash game off an experianced cash player, since i have a set out tournament style of play.

Why do i get the feeling im like a second comming of Phil Hellmuth

Poker runs can go down as well as up.. but I admit it can be a head-mash. My upward streak came to an end at Christmas 2009 and lost a load since & am now trying to build back up. One of the things I admire about Tom Dwan is his ability to lose and just move on. I keep that in mind & try to stay positive and ride these things out.
    Good luck.

Thanks. My live game is still going well so ill maybe go up to the casino and play that instead for a week or two and come back confident again.

As for DoHHHHHHHH can you help me out, learn the differances from cash and torunaments please. It was always tournaments that my old man played so thats what i learnt.

I agree with every word of this. I seem to have hit a brick wall at the minute & am losing to some of the most horrific beats I've ever had go against me but I know that at in an instant it can & will change for me. It's happened before & will happen again so I'm not too worried about it.

At the end of the day mate as long as you're getting your money in good then things will change in the long run.

Hey Don, Ive tried this sort of thing in the past (helping micro stakes cash players), one time it worked, and the guy is now doing well, the other time, it went so bad, and not only did I fail to improve the guys poker, we also dont talk anymore.

In the end, he ended up blaming me for his losses, as he couldn't grasp the theories and strategies I was trying to get across to him about micro stakes cash.

I guess it depends on personalities, if we clash, it cud go wrong.

I watch alot of poker, and if u want me to watch u play and give general observations then no problem.

I said I wud do this with donkeyplop, but for one reason or another it hasn't happened yet.

The problem is when I play myself, I can't explain alot of the things I do, I just do them coz it feels right.

But obviously basics are basics, and if ur making big errors I cud point them out to you. When ur bak on ur feet I can watch ya, let me know.

Thanks would be very much apprechiated, what level do you normally play out of curiosity?

On a side not, i think i have a typical Negraneu problem, i can name my opponenets cards, knowing there beating me and because i want to know if im right so badly i call. I need to stop that to be fair.

I understand the feeling right thing, i usually always do things on gut, which i usually do right. But when the guts not there i struggle to call.
