Ridiculously ul Darren........gutted for you......take a day or two then roll them over in some of the games at the other rooms........lots of value there.......don't forget.....you have achieved what most people only dream of.......
Great updates Tikay and gutted for you darren, you will be so gutted right now but you got ur chips in ahead and just got very unlucky, well done on getting as far as you did
unlucky darren... very very unlucky to go all the way to vegas and play in the biggest event in the world and lose on river after you flop the nuts... and still manage to get all opponant chips in...
Great reporting Tikay. Of course, we all know this adventure is about the players and I am gutted for Darren. Got it in good and on many many days that hand holds up. Unfortunately the day when it didn't HAD to be at the Main Event, didn't it? Unlucky fella.
As for Guy, congratulations on making it through. As they say, you can't win the Main Event on Day 1, so you've done all you needed to do and with a healthy stack to get to work with. Nice one.
Well done Guy on making it through day one - a great achievement. Plenty of time to have a rest now and get yourself ready for day two where you can do the business again!
good luck to all sky players there hope you enjoy and that you all cash, will you all be giving a percentage to all your friends left back at home on sky ??? lol gl
Im gutted for you Darren, but like Mike Q said, you have done something you can be proud of and you can leave with your head held high having had the holiday of a lifetime.
Horrendous luck for Darren. Poker is a harsh game sometimes, hopefully he enjoyed the experience and can walk away with his head held high knowing that he got his chips in the middle when miles ahead.
A great start for Guy, very well played, hopefully he'll be feeling less tired and over the jet-lag after the rest days between now and day 2.
A Brit (James Mitchell) is the chip leader and there are many Union Jacks well placed after Day 1A. Guy is in 476th place from 1125 starters.

End of Level 4 approaches, & Guy, although clearly very tired, seems quite comfy, & is under no pressure.
It's now 10.15pm here (06.15 UK), & we have a 20 minute break, then 1 more hour to play.
Hopefully, we'll get a quick end of play interview with Guy, then Claire will get it uploaded.
Tomorrow - Tuesday, Day 2b, is Dan Day.
11.40pm Vegas (07.40am UK), & play has ENDED for the day.
From what we can see, Guy appears to have about 30,000 - a great effort, & result.
Once the "bagging up" is done, we hope to interview him, & Attila will try to upload that before we give best for the day.
We start again on Tuesday, following Dan.
Many thanks for supporting the boys.
PS - Let's hear it for Guy!
Goodnight fom Attila, & from me.
xx
Very unlucky Darren.
Thanks for the updates.
