I was off last Sunday, too, but the morning turned into a disaster, with that bit of Forum trub. The evening went OK though. I WOULD love it, you are correct. But I love this job, too, & we can't do everything. Maybe, when I retire again.
But I'm a bit of a bankroll nit, & $10k is a LOT of money. I can play 10 $1k Events for that, or 100 $100 Events. Spread the variance, eh?
To be honest, I'd be very confident of Cashing in it. The structure is gorgeous, & I do get a tinsy-winsy bit jealous, each year, but it's not the end of the world, & my job is more important to me than a poker Tourney.
In my "poker wish-list", I have.....
1) Play a Vegas Deepstack Fessie in Caesars, there's one this November, I think......;)
2) Spend a few weeks in Vegas at WSOP time playing the $100 to $500 Tourneys, rather than working. I'd be 100% confident of turning a profit, & enjoying it.
3) Play the WSOP Main.
I don't expect to tick any of those boxes, but it won't kill me if I don't.
