    both points are incorrect

Seats are not exchangeable for cash or transferrable to another event

I have no idea, to be honest, Mick, but I've sent a note to HO to seek clarification.

I'll PM you as soon as I hear anything.

I've also now had another PM from a player who failed to win his Seat, & is seeking some "clarification" on certain issues. I have replied to him, of course.

    My cup runneth over......

Sky Poker will always try not only to be fair & right by everyone, but to be seen to handle matters properly. Be assured this case is no exception. However, we need to wait for upstairs to look at all the issues that have been raised, & that may go beyond today.

... just so i get the point of principle....

if i was speeding in park lane in london and was captured by the police and was stood before the judge, my defence would be dismissed even if i said that it was ok to drive at 70mph as i had seen it written somewhere.  and secondly i wouldn't even get my congestion charge back.

(ps.  just a wee bit of banter.)
(pps.  i am in full support of sian)

..................Surely the best way to stop this , if any , collusion would be to stop players from playing in the semi-final when already qualified????

    .

Good luck sian in qualifying, we WILL have fun in Newcastle regardless of any intimidation from the locals.

I personally will monitor, friday onwards,  names of people already qualified with entrants for Semi-finals and report immediately.

Tikay, you are far toooooo kind donating your own money, you must be winning toooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!

PS big thumbs-up to SPT and Tikay for all their hard work.............the brains and the beauty behind the tour!!!! (tikay told me to say that)

    wow.

Anyone played the last 2 events at Newcastle?

    1. What was the atmosphere like?
    2. Did you see any intimidation from "locals"?
    3. Did you enjoy your time at Newcastle?
    4. Did you spill my pint?

I play at Aspers most weeks and the atmosphere is good - any intimidation is done by shoving chips, not gobbing off. Like any card room you will get the occasional d*ck but 99% of the regulars are welcoming and friendly. Unless you spill their pint, in which case watch out.

when we got down to around 40 players in the last spt event in newcastle last year i had 2 NPF players on my table, they were a laugh tbh, bantering with each other more than anyone else. having said that playing the friday night event the day before i found the regulars to be a bit rude imo, got called all the names under the sun for pushing short stack with 88 lol.

Friday is a different game, a lot of people turn up for a game of poker in Aspers before their main priorty of good night out around the town.  A Friday in Aspers really does  not rep the poker scene.

Please come and enjoy the fun, its the best event of the SP tour and everyone will be made more than welcome.

I honestly hope yorkie qualifies so she can see the true NPF.

Hey Guys. I'm an NPF affiliate so first and foremost I'd like to echo what's already been said by deeiron, the NPF has unique banter and we always have a laugh together both on and off the felt. However were as competitive on the felt as anybody else and would never look to collude, I hope all SkyPoker regulars understand and recognize this.

On a different note I wonder if anybody could help, Tikay most likely. I won a seat into the Aspers leg of the tour in January, however I have double booked myself and will be out the country on Saturday 8th January. What's the protocol on transfering the seat over to somebody else? Thanks in advance for your help.

seats are not transferrable. Contact Sky Customer services to see if they will consider it though given the circumstances

I believe tikay is currently clarifying this with Sky Poker. An unusual scenario for these satellites clearly and I don't know at the moment what has been established
