Satellites for tonight's event run every half hour from 5:20pm to 7:50pm inclusively so it's less than fifteen minutes until the first one.

There are eight tournaments to go so, if you haven't played one before, tonight is your last chance if you want to qualify for the league.  :-)))

    Good luck to all.

Since Tikay is at the Sky Poker Christmas Party (I do hope that there are pictures), it's a good chance to gain an advantage over him.

For those hoping to steal a march on Tikay, I'm sorry to inform you that he appears to have registered for tonight's tournament. He's obviously intending to party long and hard at the Sky Poker Christmas bash.

I guess that it's possible that he will miss the start of the tournament but, given his style of play, how will we know?

Another decent finish - 37th.  Ran into AA again - 2 nights in a row!  My average has improved slightly, but I think SoLack has improved even more.  He is going to be difficult for anyone to catch.  As I write this post both Haddock214 and cottlad are still in tonight's tournie and they will both improve their averages considerably.  The next league table will be interesting.

    I think I mis-timed things slightly.

I managed to escape from the Party, & the clutches of LML, at about 11pm.

    I eventually logged on at about 11.15pm, & had about 1,000 chips left, at 75-150, & I was sitting 87th of 90, I think.

Clearly, I needed to widen my shoving range marginally. Very wisely, my opponent widened his Calling range considerably. So I shoved with my very first hand, & that was that.

[  ] Was a good idea to pay £11 to play one hand.

Still, it may have improved my League Batting average.......

    Nice work mere.
Haddock gotta be hot favourite now?
Leading 2 have to finish fairly deep to improve much.
Still all to play for :)

    Thanks.
Yes, it looks very tight at the top.
Even bedders007 in 13th place could shoot into the top two places with just two top twenty places.

With seven events remaining just about anyone could make a late run; I really wouldn't like to call it at the moment.

There are several people who have played just three events with very decent scores. If any of them start to play regularly we could see a "Piggott-stylee" late run.
