It all depends on the players involved. In this particular hand Doh said he had been playing very tight previously and shown down AK and a set, so as the villain I personally would have folded (not based on history with doh just table image in this tournament).
I think A9 is so easily dominated in this spot, flipping sometimes also but if we are actually winning it's mostly against KQ-KT/QJ and even then we have a marginal advantage.
3 bet shoving with a wide range is 'cool' because you can pick up so much dead money most of the time. It's a lot easier to shove than to call off your chips, given the descriptions by Doh in the thread it's not a great call by the villain. Can just wait for a better spot imo.
