Gary can i ask you a few questions on what you used as i downloaded it last night
What format did you record under? How long did it take you to upload to youtube? mine last night said it would take 200mins so i went to bed and only done 8%, mine was 30 mins long aswell so whats the best way to cut into 2 or 3 parts. any advice i would appreciate as i didn't have time to fiddle about with it last night.

I recorded the clips using Camstudio. The way I have it set up it creates 200fps avi files, these are quite big, so each time I had a clip I wanted to use I would use Sony Vegas to edit out the bits not needed and save it as a wmv file in a format that is much smaller yet still in good quality for Youtube.
By the time I had compiled enough and put them all together the 6 min 20 secs finished version was only 150 MB. It only took about 10 minutes to upload to Youtube, the editing and rendering takes much longer.
Youtube vids have a cap of 15 minutes, you can easily cut a longer vid in two using Windows Movie Maker or other similar software. If you downloaded my vid from Youtube you will have a flv file, that's a different format to that which I uploaded, Youtube convert it before it goes live.
