II wasn't "hankering" after any other venue, i have previously read your posts explaining that gala and alea arn't available, i was simply commenting on the size of the venue and the quality of the regular friday night comp. Im sure everybody is very greatful for all your hard work in putting this tour together. We all thank you and i for one can't wait to play in this, my 1st SPT. Response to Re: leeds spt is my first spt...:
It has 10 tables in normally An extra 5 tables going in, replacing the restaurant area So tiny is a huge exaggeration, it will be fine Yes the Alea is a lovely casino but they wouldn't do a 150 runner tournament for us. Indeed they struggled to do an 80 runner tournament for me previously. The Gala didn't want to host us So there's not a lot of point hankering after other venues that weren't feasible, is there?

Tables in the restaurant area?  That means the playing field will be split to either ends of the casino!!

It will be cramped, it always is at Grosvenor Leeds so people may aswell know this in advance.  The venue isnt as nice as any of the venues that have previously hosted an SPT.  I hope they have cushions on all their tables for the event too!!

Its fair comment that neither of the other casinos in Leeds could or would host and I am not knocking anyone at Sky Poker for the venue but I dont think it harms for people to know what the venue is like so they are prepared.  It is a shame one of the others wouldnt host as the car parking and facilities in general are better and nicer but if they cant do it theres not a lot that can be done.  I am of the understanding it is harder for them to get dealers as they dont have the network and procedures in place that Grosvenor have so would cost them a lot to host.

I am happy an event is happening in Leeds and like Amarie says it WILL be fantastic.  I also echo whats been said in sending thanks to all at Sky for the hard work that goes into organising these events.  The speed the SPT's fill up now shows how much everyone loves them.

I am really looking forward to the event!!!!  Just need to qualify tonight now :o)

    Heya Paul!

Well dont on qualifying mate... also my first SPT so looking forward to seeing u there!

I booked with the lbis hotel its about a 10 minute walk to the casino so the receptionist told me!

It cost me 88 quid for the Friday and Saturday night so got quite a good deal and looks like a nice hotel aswell.

If you book early enough they may still have that price for the 2 nights...

    Hope this helps

The SNG's are usually 10 quid with pay outs at 50/30/20

They don't get going until tables are available and that is usually early evening and/or when a presenter goes out but TKP will be organising some as well.

The thread with details normally comes out on the Monday preceeding it and will be entitled SPT LEEDS PLAYER BRIEFING or words to that effect

Hiya Team, My name is Stephen (AKA Razorlight) and I failed to satelite my way to the SPT Leeds in May. The closest was when I bubbled out in 7th when 6 qualified Gutted. But a mate of mine called Dave (AKA Mossley) say's  there could be a direct buy in on the day in Leeds for reserve players. Could you tell me if this right, as I would love to get the chance to play live after being so close

There is usually an alternates list however there is no guarantee you will get to play as its 1 out 1 in for first 3 levels so depends on how many are out.

If you live in Leeds there is a live satellite on the Thursday night you could try.

Failing not getting in there will be side events as Solar mentioned earlier which are open to all to play
