Congratulations to our SPT Leeds WINNERS!!!

Wow.. where do I start?

What an absolutely epic weekend..

The main even was taken down in spectacular style by Mr Adam Bromley: 'Bromley04' with the MONSTER hand that is 
33 against HU opponent Barry 'Jubie' Cobbs A7!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Awesome work after nearly 12hours of solid poker!!

Even more ironic since A7 is the hand Brommers had when he took out our very own Mr Julian Thew (Who put in an AWESOME performance and came a VERY respectable 3rd after being the 'bookies' favourite for much of the tourney..)

HappyNige flew the flag for TKP and had the WHOLE of the Orange brigade cheering him on to an incredible 5th place finish!!! 

The wonderful and softly smoothly jacketed JOCKBMW was possibly the most gracious and outwardly cheeful KO I have ever interviewed for a pretty fantastic 9th place finish.. WHAT A STAR!!!

And Tikay and Blandie put in their usual 100miles per hour performances on both the live commentary and the web feed..

As mentioned TKP were out en force and in full form complete with some fancy new T-shirts Organised by Solar and Sian ;) ...and a bunch of GORGEOUS matching orange flowers (Thanks JaegerPlop;) .. 

Poker Journo Barry Carter.. Had a chipstack that threatened to crush everyone at various stages of the evening.. and ultimately proved his mettle with a 7th place finish..

Team Sky Poker as always were a force to be reckoned with with Julian also coming a close second in the Friday night £50 Freezeout as well as his impressive 3rd on Saturday.. 

In fact the only possible dampener on the WHOLE weekend.. was in the form of a very SMUG looking Orford who after a shockingly adequate run in the main event (Actually the boy did us all crazy proud with his play.. No thanks to Blandie, myself and Tikay..  arranging a £160 bounty prize on his head).. Then went on to Win the 'side event'.. A 50 player MTT for almost £250.

The boy done good.

He did less good when we got back to the hotel at stupid O'clock in the morning just to be told that that he'd have to go elsewhere as his room had been given to someone else. An oversight by the hotel!! EEEEK!!!

Any way.. 

I think it's safe to say that SPT Leeds was an unmitigated success.. As always a pleasure to match new faces to old friends and to catch up with the ONE thing Sky poker is best at.. It's COMMUNITY!!

This moment right now.. Belongs to everyone who helped make SPT what is is.. And most of all to our CHAMPION of the moment:

Mr Adam Bromley.

    from the first sup of the amber nectar on friday evening to the time the ME finished, I must say it was prob one of the best weekends I've had, to put the faces to the names is always good, and as ever all the Sky Poker presenters, analysts and staff went out of their way to make everyone feel at ease.

    LML you were awesome and it was great to see you in such fine form.

    Heres to the next one

       It was a most EXCELLENT Weekend VWP to Bromley04 on taking down the ME also Well Done to Nigel (TKP) & Peter both true Gents & Well Done to all that cashed over the 2 Days. Tikay & Sky Dave must run on Duracell Batteries they never stopped they & the Sky Poker Team did an Excellent Job. The Highlight for me was Happynige & Jock bmw reaching the Final Table & Lisa-Marie(who worked her socks off) doing the Interveiw with TKP

    Adam a fantastic performance mate, and you were a great example of how the game should be played,  gracious when you lost a pot and equally gracious when you won one.

    Lisa .. what can I say.  You made the day utterly brilliant.  Hugh thanks for spending the time to talk to me and for making me feel so comfortable in front of the cameras.   

    Oh and the offer to come up to my room to see my "Slippers" still stands ;o)

    Haha!! Although nobody was laughing last night! The hotel got him a taxi to a room they'd reserved for him at ANOTHER hotel and presumably got him a cab back to his car first thing in the morning.
