Nah, not even going there.
Can you organise one for Scotland next year please. Just so I can meet Trip5. Loving the cut of her jib.
LOL! I should be banned from all future SPT's imo ;o))) EEEEEPPPPPIIIIIICCCCCCCCC SPT as always, but more excellent cause LML was there innit!!! Thanks everyone, I had a truly top banana time...sorry to those I tilted whilst doing the live feed... Sharkfish ftw ;o) xx Posted by TRIP5
NOOOOO you cant get banned. If jaeger got drunk we'd be captian/skippy/leaderless. lol.
I sooo wish i had been able to hear u on that live feed.
Well, I'm back in the land of the living after an epic drive yesterday back to London stopping off in Bromsgrove and Banbury along the way to visit rellos.
As LML intimated I had a bit of a bad beat when I arrived at the hotel at 2.30am on Sunday morning ready to crash out after 12 hours of solid poker. The management had generously decided in my absence to transfer me to a hotel on the other side of the city centre! It's ok though, they offered to pay for my cab there. Grrrr.
So, I eventually got to sleep around 4, was up at 8 and then had the small matter of making my way back to the hotel where my car was parked on a morning that Leeds had decided to hold a marathon. Yes. A marathon. Cue muchos road blockage and diversionage.
What is it with me and car-parking?
Complicating matters was the discovery in my trouser pocket of my winnings from the side event last-longer the previous evening. £9. In casino chips. Yes, I'd forgotten to cash them in. So, what to do? A couple of quid and I would have written it off, as it was a major hassle to walk back to the casino with all my luggage through the marathon and then on to my original hotel for my car.
£20 and it would have been a no-brainer. Straight to the casino to collect my cash. But £9? In the end after much wrestling with my conscience, I decided it was too much money to just chuck away- so there I was at 9am back in the Grosvenor, revisiting the scene of the crime the nght before. I must say- casinos at night are very glam. First thing in the morning, hmmm, not so.
It occured to me that a Sky Poker player might see me leaving the Grosvenor at 9am and then forevermore peg me as some sort of sick gambler. But this worry was nothing compared to the one I had the night before- that someone might see me going back to my hotel room clutching a glossy A4 sized photo of Tikay (provided by Machka). Can I have it in a plain brown envelope next time, Aaron?
Anyway- I loved my time in Leeds. Great atmos and banter as ever, a reasonable run by me in the main event and a rather splendid run in the side event. But I'm not going to bang on about that. As I'm way too modest to mention how I crushed 50 of Sky Poker's finest.
Thought everyone was on top form and that the community are really starting to make this tour their own- with team colours, last-longers and players going out on the town together afterwards.
The team did a terrific job of putting the whole show on- Tikay, Blandie, Tighty, Hoppy and Mother (jeez, has anyone got a normal name at Sky Poker?) and the rest of the behind the scenes crew.
And well done LML- the SPT hostess with the mostess. Frankly, I don't think either Tikay or myself would have looked quite as fetching in that blue dress. Although I wouldn't mind trying it on at some stage, just to make sure.
I'd like to close my statement with a word that Jaegerbomb and the staffroom corridor of the Grosvenor will be only too familiar with:
Well done Bromley for winning at the weekend. Although you are a bit of an 'unknown' as you are not often on the forum etc, I know speaking to other regulars that you are a good consistent player and we meet quite often in tournies (including a main event final table which you won the other week).
Also want to say well done to my mate Barry who came 2nd. He is 1 of the "Swindon Massive" in the words of Tikay who plays at the KC club regularly. A very good player.
Wish I could of been there, but I'll deffo be at Cardiff.

Thanks Charles. I am a bit of a technophobe so not often on the forums but reckon I am going to try and post more often. Yeah I'm on a bit of a heater at the moment so long may it continue. If I manage to qualify for Cardiff I will come and introduce myself and get you a pint m8!

Nice closing statement. The legend of Jaegerbomb will live on for some time methinks!
