You enter on a Sunday - survive thro to friday and could be knocked out by someone who has bought in after being knocked out every day but has more money to play with. I would let players who have genuinely survived carry their chips through each round so that the rebuyers don't have an advantage thro' their pockets. i.e. if the starting stack is 1500 chips and you survive with 500 you have 2000 at the start of the next day while the reentrants still start with 1500.

In Response to Re: Super-Survivor has arrived! : Not sure if it's a "level playing field" or not, Alan, but I'd say it was spectacular value for those who decide to just have one punt for a quid, with odds of something like 600/1 or 700/1 for a winner who pays a quid & wins it, or have "two shots" & get about 250/1. Even 4 shotters & 8 shotters are guaranteed value way above an "ordinary" MTT winner. Someone who buys in direct to the final & wins it will be getting more like 10/1. So, no, not a level playing field, & if anything, it favours the "one or two bullet" players, as they get much greater odds. Deep-rolled players get far worse odds, but may consider them decent value as they have confidence in their ability to beat a varied field. Assuming a first prize of, say, £750, then.... 1 shotters get about 750/1 their money. (More if the Guarantee is beaten). 2 shotters get about 250/1 their money. (They will have spent £3 to win £750). 4 shotters will get about 107/1 their money. If the Tourney beats it's Guarantee, then those odds will increase, of course. For comparision purposes, if someone wins, say, the TSP Classic, they probably get 40/1 their money. So I'd say it was decent value, personally, though there are bound to be those who disagree. It's understood that it will displease "many", but equally, it will please many, too. It's just not possible to please everyone. There were lots of comments that the previous "Survivor" lasted too long, & people lost intererst, so they have listened, & tried to address that. It might not work at all, in which case they'll tweak it again, or just abandon it. Sky Poker should, in my opinion, be applauded for the conveyor-belt of new ideas they keep coming up with, 1 after the other, & I doubt any other Online Room can claim credit for so many innovative ideas. They have also Guaranteed the Prize Fund at £2,500 even if the thing is a complete flop. There are many more different ideas & promotions in the Sky Poker pipeline, all queued up behind each other, some will be very successful, others will be epic fails I expect. But at least they are trying, & trying hard. It takes courage to keep trying these new ideas, because they are always going to get a bit of flak when a few players don't like them. Ultimately, everyone has a choice, & can decide whether or not to play this, or anything.

Thank you for your response. I never said it wasn't a good value idea and I do hope it does well.

I also appreciate and welcome all new ideas that Sky Poker come up with and look forward to seeing more come up in the coming weeks/months.

I was also not trying to portray 'flak' but just trying to offer my opinion TBF.

    Cheers anyway, Alan

    He's feeling doubly generous...

... whoever goes furthest in the competition out of those people will get a £33 Sky Sports Bounty Hunter on 2nd June!

It will be the one who goes furthest from day 1, without re-entering in a later round (which you can if you want to but it wont count for the prize).

We just need a volunteer to keep track of the winner from the list of posters below please (it would be good if they could do a list each day of who is still in) - first one to volunteer for this update will get free entry to the TSP Classic tonight.

level playing field?  yes absolutely, the potential return on investment remains proportional no matter when you enter.

there is only one consideration however.  compare the typical player who will will pay the highest entrance fee versus the typical player who enters at the beginning and survives?  who is the better player?  if no difference there is still a level playing field.

Here's my dilemma...........and wondered if anyone had any opinions pls.

I want to enter but my problem is this weeks shift-pattern and I have to leave to go to work at 10:30 pm Sun-Wed inclusive.
I'm ok after that but wanted your opinions and experiences ( if you have played this last time )....is this tourney like a lot of DYM's where in trying to survive, you end up in a virtual state of animation and by getting no action, causes the game to drag on and on...ie: do you think the game will finish before 10:30 pm.

I know it can't be a straight forward reply but just wanted some feedback and views please.......thanx.
