In Response to Re: SKY REGIONAL LEAGUE - WEEK 3 (07/06/2011) : 1. never call just with a hi or lo draw. ( your aim is to SCOOP, i.e win both pots) 2. beware of being "quartered" (i.e having the same lo as someone when they have the hi) 3. avoid hands like 10987 that would be massive in plo. ideally you want something like AA23 double suited! 4. have fun and only play the nuts (note to self lol) 5. cheers greg, will respect the last two especially lol.
Seriously though, shouldn't these tourneys be in the lobby now. i work 13 hours tomorrow and will be up at 5am and not home till after the start of the first one, therefore if i don't remember to register at the stupid hour i get up i'll miss the first one and be heavily penalised!!
think the league maybe in trouble tomorrow, a lot of players seem to have already chucked it, and with the buy ins going up again this week there will be less runners, and less runners means less chance of the guys on high scores catching the leaders. the low buy in tournies in the first week have left a big gap between top and bottom, unless we get some high volume tournies the guys from the middle down have no chance.

that is a fair point but. in James' opening post when he devised this league, he does say that the tourneys will be up to £5.50, and the total outlay over the ten will be less than £55. If players aren't banlrolled for this then they shouldn't have entered surely?

i totally agree but in the first week the tournies were so cheap there were a lot of players outside the SRL entered, so this made the placings unbalanced as they were counted along with the guys in the league. and now you wont get as many entries, and as i said it makes it near impossible for the trailers to catch the leaders.
it would have been wiser only to count the league entrants.

Don't panic! Next week's tournaments include a £1.10 Deepstack, while among the final week's fixtures is a £2.30 Bounty Hunter tournament.
The fields for the PLO / PLO8 events were always going to be smaller, but I expect these NLHE tournaments to attract a decent number of (non-SRL) players.
Also, please remember that we're only 40% of the way through the league. No-one's locked up a play-off berth yet.

Just ask Trip5 how to play Omaha Hi/Lo. Essentially push with flopped middle pairs v two players (including one with nut nut draws) and hold. Still hurts. Posted by TommyD
Serves you and Sbotty right for ignoring me innit? Plus I hit TRIP5 on the river so put that in your draw and smoke it...
P.S. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA NUT FLUSH DRAWS FTL* ;o)))
*Disclaimer...Investment in this playing style may bust you...variance may go up as well as down.
