actualy it was wierd that 1 player was sat out whole game and the other sat out until there were 3 off us left then decided to shove pre i think. while other live player with big stack folded . Could this have been colusion by 3 players? im not sure if ive had this or not so not able to spot them.

i doubt it. he was probably being clever and picking on you.with him having a large stack and u struggling he probably targeted you.some people delight in seeing people struggle.

The whole idea of the game of poker is to make life hard for people.

If it was a normal sit and go, 1st place is worth alot more than 2nd. The big stacks job is to get all the chips. It's ridiculous to suggest he plays soft on the other guy until HU. Then starts the HU with more even chip stacks than he would should he have exploited the bubble situation properly.

In a dym it's totally different.

    WP big stack imo!.....

Wud still like to see the hand though, seems you are reluctant to post it?

no not reluctant to post it i cant for some reason goes all weird when i cut and paste it and would have to sift through to find it. i did try and play him and ignore the sitter but couldnt call every all in with just a pair. I suppose you have a point and object of the game is to win and if he did check and let me win against the sitter i could have always made a crazy come back so you want the other player out for the win. was just anoying is all.

I wanna see the hand history coz there's definitely strategy involved in playing an away player in a bubble situation three handed, even more so in a normal sng. Theres some things you can do to use the 'sitter' to gain an advantage, and also knowing what to do to stop the other guy using the sitter to his advantage.

For example, if the bigstack is on the button, and the big blind is the sitter, his opening range becomes pretty much any 2 cards. So you can adjust/widen your re-shoving range to take advantage of this....

Thats just one, theres a few more....

yea my mistake was not making a stand and calling his shoves after i raised hands or maybe i shoulda shoved on him first to try and get the double up and be in controll. I tried to play the hands i had and shoulda looked at what his range was and not folded to every bluff.

im posting this as want to know what people do in this senario, i was peed off at the time of righting this but at the same time wanted to see if people had a sense of fair play or not and what to do about players that sit out and how that effects your game when up against 1 other player and choices to either cash and wait for sitter to be blinded out and then play for the double up or some other stratagy. looking at it now i cant complain about losing but i do find it sometimes affects my game as it dosnt feel like a proper game. Dohhh is right and i take his comments positivly and has made me think about what to do in this situation. It dosnt happen often but will think about my play next time it does.

Very true i play alot of DYMs and see alot of these so called sitters. I never call if i out of position or if i have dead cards, all you need to do is get your chips above this away player then fold let somone else do the calling unless you hit a big hand
Trust me if you call the away player out of position you will lose, also if you feel lucky only call the sitter if you have an Ace in you hand. gl m8t
