    no way Mr Rover sir the team £51k challenge is very close and as we have far fewer members i'd say we are right up there

      This is getting silly now .   TEAM51 ARE SO FAR AHEAD OF THE OTHER TEAMS . Maybe we should consider in helping them out . Just a thought,  with a lot of coaching in the TEAM51 facebook group page , we may just turn these guys in to winning players . what do you think my fellow 51ers ?

    I for one think this is an extremely kind and gracious offer by Denis and should not be discarded out of hand.
    I personally look forward to the day that I can remove my 'L' plates, the quicker the better.
    Undoubtly there is a lot of talent amongst the teams but it's too easy to get complacent and occassionally flaws start to creep in......a watchful and caring eye from the sidelines is all that is usually reqd. to spot the mistakes and hope your kind offer is taken up sooner than later.............:)-.

     coaching rates are currently at £50 per hour,very reasonable considering others are upwards of £500,but mind u , you do know the old phrase'you cant polish a'

    There's a mix up here.

    The competition is the DTD team league.

    The 51k challenge is a Team51 Challenge to reach £51k winnings. It was never a challenge to other teams and that's obvious if you read the opening post on the 51k thread.

    The fact that others have chosen to copy the idea is great.

    The real competition is DTD. Maybe denis should have made that clearer in th OP.

    I have this morning hacked into Team51's Facebook page. (I used to be a journalist) and boy, if you think that lot moan on here, you should see their page on there! Full of whinge whinge whinge, more whinge and a load of swearing and crying.

    Anyway, after a got through about 100 pages of X files rubbish, I came across their coaching manual. This is a direct copy from Elsadog's/DJ's 'training' philosophy....


    1)When in doubt, and at any time during a tournament, just shove with any two cards. If they hold up/win, you have played the hand skillfully. If they get beat, you start a thread blaming the RNG.

    2) Repeat 1.
