Well done Hoggers! About time too. Fingers crossed for SkiCowboys & DrMarbles, both of whom are on a bit of a bad run right now. Still, perseverance in the face of adversity, & all that, keep at it lads. Posted by Tikay10
Especially if they take down the new MUNGO top prize of £4,000 ..!!!!!
In Response to Re: Manchester Qualifiers so far are........ : Thanks Tikay, and all I believe Dr Marbles made it through last night with me.. Its Mr Skicowboys we all have to cheer on now... Come on Adrian you will make it! Posted by GREGHOGG
He did? Wow, I'm thrilled to hear that.
He's a top bloke, a genuine Poker World Amateur Champion (HORSE), & what's more, he dresses worse than you. Arguably.

Although I'm relatively new to Sky Poker and being on the forums (a lot of you guys clearly know each other being regulars on here and previous SPTs I imagine). I don't know SkiCowboys but I just wanted to second the support for him as he was one of the seat winners on my very first satellite to a semi (we both got knocked out of that semi early-ish i believe) and I've noticed he has kept at it to no avail. C'mon Ski!!!!!
yes just want to add my congrats to the rest and best wishes to Ski and my good lady tonight shes running hot live (won again last night Tk ) so lets hope it continues on line PS SO DID I LOL WE SHARED IT with a friend of ours 3 way split at 2.30am
Ive been out of the country and busy working recently and just noticed that there is a SKY Poker Tour in Manchester. I would very much like to play in this as its very local for me.
If I do not qualify for it, is there any way (as a Sky Poker player) that I can buy into the event?
Also will there be Sit n Gos there on that night for the knocked out and other players?
I'm pleased to say I also qualified last night and am really looking forward to the whole event.
I will also be pleased to meet any of the people I have previously spoken to, heard about, or seen on this site, ie put faces to names etc.
Looking at the list of qualifiers it is an extremely strong field. Is it any co-incidence that it is the better players (or percieved better players) on Sky Poker who have qualified for ths event (I do not include myself in this) or is it the fact that these are the majority of the players who had the necessary bankroll in order to qualify?
I think it's that the 'regular' big names have been to live Sky events before, so view this as more than a straight satellite, it's a social occasion too. Once they see X, Y & Z have qualified, it incentivises (have I made up a word there) them to qualify as well, whereas some other players might have a couple of stabs just to chance their arm at a large paying MTT.
The fact they're all good with fat bankrolls doesn't hurt either!
got in last night for a fiver, only been on the site a few months and havent played any real poker before that so cant really complain about qualifying methods. Trouble is i dont know if ill make it to the event... "cummins" bubbled. if i dont make it could he get my seat as a result?

No, I'm afraid that would not be possible.
But well done on Qualifying - it would be good to meet you on Saturday.
Hi everyone. I'm new to Sky Poker and have luckily managed to qualify for Manchester, my first live event. Slightly nervous but I've loved reading the forum banter, you all seem a great bunch. Looking forward to playing with you all on the site and meeting some of you in Manchester.
Tikay, a couple of my friends who got me into poker play occassionally with you at Luton and say you are a really great bloke. Looking forward to meeting you on saturday.

Triva tidbit, I beat Dr Marbles at Scrabble at the weekend. Furthermore, i only required the help of three people to do so.

Yes sit n go's start as soon as enough/a presenter is out
And it only took me a mere 13 goes as well.
Also congratulations to the following players who won the Live satellite in Manchester yesterday
1. Roy Wheetham
2. Christian Garvin
3. Dave Burns
4. Susan Roche
5. Mark Hall
Satellites will continue this week, and with the celeb guests we're set to be close or at capacity at the weekend.
Now it's closer, I am really looking forward to it.
I will also be pleased to meet any of the people I have previously spoken to, heard about, or seen on this site, ie put faces to names etc.
