Sounds a perfect way forward as I dont think anybody wants facebook it just looked easiest way. Personally I am not a facebook fan and have seen my son a victim of what can happen.
The great thing with our own private site it can also give us no team has and continue to make it attractive to recruit more qulaity players.
I dont know how easy it would be but may also be nice if it was no problem to have a poker news feed so we can all keep up with whats happening out there as an idea.
I know hosting costs are small but as you know trev there is still other costs involved and I for one would have no problem making a contrubition to any costs envoled.
You also got my mind thinking trev about recoving costs being the salesman I will always be, I know google adds can pay small revenues but as there is so much based around poker I am sure we could get some advertising esp if the front page is not locked but leads you to sign in.
I think also again there are a lot of people in the team with different skill sets you can utalise so that you are not tasking on all the work. I could get one of our artists to spash some colour over it lol
If either you or Dale do get this project off the ground just pm me if there is anything you want me to do.

Website Registration- Easy to do and cheap (renewable every 2 years) Website Hosting - Easy to do I can use our existing hosting company (renuable every 12 Months) Website Development- The Harder bit and a lot of hours, but I have all the web developing programs known to man, however I prefer to use Serif Webplus as the design templates will be easier to convert to our needs. Stand Alone Forum - There are a few options, but I know of one in particular that won't cost us a penny to start with and if it develops well enough and we are happy with it, we can pay to get rid of the hosted ads eventually.
I can link the website to the forum so you are there at the click of a button, it has administrator rights and password protected for members only. The topics we can use in the forum are also unlimited.
We can keep the initial website simple and gradually add some bells & whistles so to speak. I have some ideas for topics on the website but am open to suggestions. The website can be used for poker information and updates, live events etc and the forum can have as many topics as you like for things like hand discussions, general poker chat or just general day to day stuff where we can offload all our troubles etc.
If you have any topics you would like to suggest then let me know. I also think the idea suggested for a donation button is a good one and simple enough to do.

WD mrb and jonny nice cashes.Thanks for advise there mrb.I was told by a good player on this site to jam if anyone limps on the sb as most times they wont call,so i suppose he was right as i have picked up lots of of chips with no hands at all.Maybe i was thinking i jammed only twice and when i got called i turned over a j but that's the way the cookie crumbles.He can play however he likes i haven't a problem with that.Think i'll keep jamming in the same way it seems to work most times.If your going ahead with site trev, that's great news.As mrb said we all appreciate it.
