    If I could be coached by any player in the world, I would go for the following in each of their categories...

    Worldwide - Phil Ivey. He's God.

    UK - Julian Thew. Super consistent and I believe I play a similar style to that Julian uses. He's just a lot better at poker than me and I want to know why ;)

    From Sky Poker - I think I'd like to have a proper chat with Brownndog some time. He seems to have a great sense for when to change gears, especially at the SPTs. Would be good to see how he thinks about certain spots.

    Hi All,

    Welcome back Ed.
    My mentors would be,
    ONLINE, PAUL JACKSON, he talks a lot of sense, both tactical and stack maintainence.
    CASH, Redmond Lee, if some of our big UK hitters think he is very good, who am i to disagree.
    TOURNAMENTS, Phil Ivey, the professional players, player, enough said.

    P.S this is my first post for 3/4 months after a complete break from poker.

    Redmond Lee,  that isn't just a "Sky is Great" thing.  The respect he got on the Sky Cash game from the likes of Channing and Jackson just goes to show how good he is in this aspect of the game.

    MTT

    As we're on the Sky theme why not stick to it.  These players have proven time nd time again how good they are.  I would have Dan Brown mentor me in MTT.   The guy has an amazing record and has always spoke a lot of sense as far as I am concerned

    STT

    Ben Nuttall  Has an amazing record in this discipline and on the rare occassions I have played on the same table as him, has always impressed me with his timing as well as his manner on the table.

    Actually this did turn into a "sky is great" theread..... who cares ;o)

    Hi Anna and Ed.

    Looking forward to a great show as usual.

    My mentors if i could choose two would be Alan Cunningham for tournies and Tom Dwan for cash games because they are both awesome at those games simplzzzzzzzzzzz :)

    And if i could choose a third it would have to be Mr Phil Helmuth himself to teach me how to handle tilt lol :)

    Easy as, Tony TK Kendal for Holdem , and James Hartigan for Omaha.
    Creeping? maybe, but have been watching and learning on Sky TV for over 4 years , what more can I say? Ed , your ok as well lol :)

    Nice to see Ed back on our screens, can't believe Ian is off because he's got an ickle sore throat the big southern softy.


    If I was to be mentored by one player it would have to be Ivey, mainly just so he could teach me to stare at people the way he does.

    I've tried to copy it a few times but I always end up giggling like a girl.
